
Kiwi Rugby Player Slurs Bad Teeth Britain
IAN Henderson, a former player with the Bradford Bulls rugby league team says Castleford was “the worst place” he had lived in.
Mr Henderson said “moving there just kills you” and added people “drank themselves silly”.
Local MP Yvette Cooper described the comments as an “outrageous slur”.

I bet this wasn’t the only point he made & I’m sure it won’t all have been negative. Pity that these quotes are often taken out of context. Who did the reporter hope to hurt most, the people of Castleford or Ian Henderson ? I don’t know the player personally, but it wouldn’t surprise me to find that, like many rugby players, he was reasonably well educated & therefore unlikely to be so insulting to locals that he would state that the entire town is populated by toothless drunks.
Let’s all be a bit more discerning than to simply accept the generalisations that are regularly reported in the press, which are often hurtful and often turn out to be inaccurate.

Ummm. I don’t know how a Kiwi coming from a country where there’s more sheep than people - and where they have one of the highest suicide rates for young people - can be so judgemental?

They allway’s say, that the truth hurt’s. It’s not on it’s own though, is it….
