World’s Longest Nails Lost In Road Accident

LEE Redmond, of Salt Lake City, has the longest finger nails in the world. Lee Redmond is in an accident, in a car. Lee Redmond used to have the longest fingernails in the world.

Lee Redmond from Salt Lake City, Utah, had not cut her nails since 1979.

Their combined length was more than 28ft (8.5m), with the longest nail - on her right thumb - measuring 2ft 11in (89cm), says the Guinness Book of Records.

Now the nail are gone, broken off. What happened to them is unclear, but if you see a man with painted claws hanging from his face, tell the insurance company.

Guinness says Lee Redmond had been a “fantastic ambassador” for them, and that her nails had been “a fundamental part of her life and unique character”.

What do two feet long nails say about the wearer? And can anyone be an ambassador? The UN has ambassadors, although no embassies. And now so too does the Guinness Book of Records.

Can you be an ambassador for Anorak?
