Floss The Cow Back After None Months On The Run

by | 30th, March 2009

AFTER nine months on the run, Floss the Highland cow is captured.

Floss, aka The Beast of Ealand, was on her way from a market in Thirsk, North Yorks, when she escaped.

Now after months on the run Floss tells her story, from her secret safe barn at the Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Frettenham, near Spixworth, Norfolk.

Says one Wendy Valentine:

“When I first got the call I just thought that we had to help. She’ll stay with us for the rest of her natural days and we’ll introduce her to the others.”

Floss tells of sleeping rough in tips, being chased by yobs on quad bikes and close calls with joyriders and poachers.

Floss’s story will be serialised in this week’s O-Hay!
