Which BBC sport presenter mocked Grand National-winning jockey’s teeth?
THIS Liam Treadwell, the little fella who rode 100/1 shot Mon Mome to a barnstorming victory in Saturday’s Grand National at Aintree. As you can see, he has what Americans might politely call an “Austin Powers smile”.
But which BBC Sport presenter has been forced to apologise to Treadwell after making fun of his teeth? Answer after the jump…
If you answered Clare Balding, give yourself a point. Yes, twas jolly Clare who, in a post-race interview with Treadwell, said the following:
“Not exactly the best teeth in the world, but you can afford to get them done now if you like.”
The Beeb has issued an apology for the Balding gaffe, while she has said sorry in person to the jockey.
Watch the gaffe below:
Ooh, the cheeky bitch! (Translation: she has a point.)

never mind his teeth - what about her face…? presumably she also could afford to have something done about that…?
