
Olympic Athletes Win Worst TV Advert Ever
WITH the London 2012 Olympics in the news, TV watchers can once more see the Ultralase advert featuring Olympians Jonathan Edwards and Steve Redgrave.
This must be how the BBC presenting auditions go:
Ex-athlete: “Amazing. How do feel.”
Athlete: Pant.
Ex-athlete: “Well done. Amazing.”
It is undoubtedly the worst advert ever. The smile that plays across Redgrave’s face suggests he realises it. Edwards is the picture of stoicism as he is wafted by the flag, demanding the caption, “Who farted?”
Try saying “I demand A1 vision” with a straight face…

Do you remember when Jonathan Edwards wouldn’t jump for Jesus on a Sunday? At least he had some standards back then. Still, we’ve all got bills to pay. My mate, who had laser eye surgery, put me off when he said that smelling your own eyeballs burning is not all that pleasant.Yuck….
