THE reason why they make films in the spring and autumn is that for the rest of the year the proles are away or the diary is chock full of AGMs dressed up as awards dos. We journeyed to The London Critics’ Circle Film Awards at the Landmark Hotel in London. Earlier on the ‘otel, it is alleged that Saudi national Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Nasir Bin Abdulaziz al Saud, yer honour, did murder Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz. Later, Anne-Marie Duff won the award for British Actress in a Supporting Role at, Colin Firth became British Actor of the Year and Carey Mulligan was British Actress of the Year.
