Lockerbie Bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi

by | 17th, August 2010

LOCKERBIE bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi is not only alive – he’s creating tensions between the UK and the US. He was supposed to be dead by now.

Anorak reader Cheryl writes from the US:

When I posted the earlier article on the Forum yesterday re the one Doctor now covering his arse… Reading this latest article it is now exposed that the prison doctor who played a key role in approving Megrahi’s release was only a general practitioner with no expertise in cancer. Read further, Megrahi’s urologist was not even asked his opinion re Megrahi.

Now we have our Senators circumventing proper protocol and asking UK and US concerned citizens to blow the whistle on any suspicious behaviour surrounding the case including Megrahi’s medical condition and negotiations between BP and Libya.

I thought it would be dropped once it was known the US gave its tacit agreement to his being released on a Compassionate Release but it is not going to be. Senators holding the Hearings next month.

This is going to blow wide-open and may well cause even a deeper chill in the relations between the US and UK.

Lockerbie bomb trial prosecution witness, shopkeeper Tony Gauci, from the seaside suburb of Sliema on the holiday island of Malta. Gauci linked one of the accused men, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, with the crime. * But the trial judges rejected his claim that Al Megrahi visited his family-run clothes shop, Mary's House, and bought a sky blue baby romper suit, umbrella and adult clothes in the weeks leading up to the bombing.
