Kyron Horman: The Search Becomes A ‘Witch Hunt’
KYRON Horman: Anorak’s look at the missing seven-year-old Oregon boy in the news – Terri Horman is accused of kidnap and the child remains missing.
Settle PI: “Kyron’s parents accuse Terri Horman of kidnapping”
Kaine Horman and Desiree Young are still accusing the step-mother. The step-mother remains free. No-one has been arrested. And Terri Horman has not issued a libel writ.
“Terri, you’re at a crossroads in your life,” Kyron’s biological mother, Desiree Young said in an interview with KATU News reporter Anna Canzano. “We don’t always like what life has to give us, but we don’t have a choice in that. The one thing we have a choice in is how we handle these moments. You really have to do the right thing and make the right choice and help us bring Kyron home.
“That’s ultimately my message to her. She just needs to choose to do the right thing.”
Whatever happened to innocent til proven guilty and reporting the facts? The whole search for an innocent missing child has turned into a form of entertainment for armchair detectives.
“Speaking for myself, she was a great actress,” said Desiree. “I never knew she was unhappy in any way shape or form. But I didn’t live with her.”
Says Kaine:
“I thought I knew her the best, but apparently I didn’t, based on all the information that’s come out — things that she’s done, the way that she operates. There’s a lot I don’t know.”
There is lot we do not know. We do not know what happened to Kyron Horman. We do not know if any crime has befallen him.
And then Desiree Young was on the telly again:
“You will go to jail, and whoever has been helping you, if they don’t talk, they will go to jail,” Desiree Young, Kyron’s birth mother, said today in an interview with Andrea Canning on “Good Morning America.”
What say the lawyer?
Terri Horman’s lawyer, Stephen Houze, has said that his client has been receiving death threats and that the media frenzy surrounding the case has morphed into a “witch hunt.”
It always has been.
Kyron Horman: Tony Young And The Failed Police Plot To Entrap Terri Horman
Back at the place where Kyron was last seen:
A video surveillance system has been installed at the Portland school where a missing Oregon boy was last seen. A Portland Public Schools spokesman says Chown Hardware in northwest Portland donated the system for Skyline Elementary School.
We will bring you more news when there is some…

Cindy, you state you do not think there are libel writs – do you mean libel laws in the US pertaining to what one puts in writing?
Unfortunately, Anorak prefers only one link per post. So, I’ll post the link to “Bloggers Legal Guide – Online Defamation” for your perusal and guidance in what you shouldn’t put in writing if you don’t want to possibly be sued for libel in the U.S.
http://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation
What is interesting 17 States in the US have criminal libel laws for web defamation and it is a felony! I am not going to list the States that consider web defamation a felony; as my attitude is if someone is stupid enough to post something on the net that opens them up to a libel suit then let them find out the hard way if they also committed a felony.
What do you mean Mr. Houze should be defending her better? She hasn’t be charged with any crime for him to defend her against any charges. He has been retained as her lawyer to protect her Rights under the Laws. He has made no comments nor permitted her to. The only comment he did make in public was early on when he said there was a ‘witch hunt’ going on as pertaining to Terri Horman.
It is going on 9 months and the case has not been solved nor Kyron found. Terri Horman has been continuously condemned; scorned; reputation in shreds; no doubt libeled by many in writing (if she is not charged); defamed by those speaking out in public against her (if she is not charged); being tried in the Court of Public Opinion, which is akin to a Kangaroo Court; yet, she has not even been named a suspect in his disappearance. If she is not charged in this case, many people will be held accountable for what they have done to her in destroying her life and reputation.

I don’t think we have libel writs in the U.S. But definitely Houze should be defending her better.

You may want to tell that to the new Task Force taking over the case. Three months and one millions dollars too late the LE are now turning this over to others being brought in to try and solve a case that may well have been left in shambles..

I am a well known Necromancer who has told Capt. Jason where I feel the remains of the missing boy are. He refuses to look in that area.
That is all I’ll say about that.

Terri doesn’t dare set foot out of her door for fear of some nut case taking justice into his own hands, and would try to harm her. Why should she make any public statements when the media would twist her words, and the general public would not believe anything she said anyway. Sexting, supposed MFH plot, someone sneaking a picture of a document in her house, and then blabbing to LE does not add up to any kind of evidence That would suggest that she is a kidnapper. Thanks Anorak for an article that looks at the facts instead of stretching the truth to support their point of view.
btw A witch hunt is always a bad thing

Anorak – I say this is not a well written piece because there is no flow. The overuse of quotes and links is very disconcerting – you were not able to pull this information together – I understand the effect you were trying to achieve, but it didn’t work. Sorry.
September 3rd, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Hey JACK, when the title of the piece is spelled incorrectly, “with,” how is one expected to take any of it seriously! Journalism just takes a beatin and no one cares. With that said, you probably wrote it. LOL!!!!

the superiority complex is obvious in some of these reads … from everything i know and read here….there is something to living within the country of this particular incident and actually seeing a ‘better’ picture…

How is sexting, violating a court order, and being accused by a landscaper of murder for hire “speculation”? Since when are you reporting ALL the facts instead of ones that support your views? Have you read what people at Skyline school are saying about that day? Have you read all that has come out from Dede’s cousin? You call it a witch hunt but Terri has acted in a manner that has warranted suspicion, even without the fact LE is withholding. SO yeah, your publication really has a tabloid stink here. “Witch hunt”? No one is “hunting” for Terri, she isn’t going ANYWHERE.

Awake, your saying I “work for Anorak clearly” is the perfect example of what is going on in that case over there. You think it – so you state it as fact. People do not not use their minds and whatever intelligence they may have to carefully think through or analyze all the other various possibilities of what could have caused Kyron to be missing. The people are akin to sheep being led to slaughter, they follow the leader.
Why would I be embarrassed if Terri Horman is charged? I do not believe I have stated my position on this case as to her possible involvement or not. I am strictly going by the law that states ‘a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.’ Those days of people taking the law into their own hands and hanging a person just because someone(s) inferred they were guilty are long gone, rather supposedly long gone. How many Black people have been brutally murdered, hung, burnt up in churches and their houses just because there were/are those who preach they are inferior and people believed them? How many innocent people have been sent to prison to serve many years or to sit on death row because a jury believed every word the police and DA told them, who had tunneled vision on that person and determined to prove them guilty no matter what they had to do to make a case against them?
So, she may or may not be guilty of any involvement in his disappearance but under the law she is presumed innocent. You will pardon me though if she is not charged or found not guilty when I smile reading the stories that will surely follow of all the slander and libel suits filed on her behalf against many by her lawyer.

Disgusting tabloid treatment?
What? You mean refusing to listen to gossip and speculation from armchair detectives? Refusing to join a witch hunt? Reporting only the actual facts in that a child is missing and no one has been arrested and charged yet?
I don’t know what the tabloids are like where you come from but Anorak has reported only the truth about the way this case is being treated by the police, family and media.
I also know that Cheryl doesn’t work for Anorak and, if she did, her “superiors” would certainly be able to read.
September 1st, 2010 at 6:06 pm
The comments are in and yes, Anorak should be embarassed by this piece. And it will be doubly embarassing for you Cheryl (you work for Anorak clearly) when Terri is ARRESTED.
The disgusting tabloid treatment of this sad story by your publication will not be forgotten and your superiors will hear about it.

Princess, once again the Police had stated several times TH was cooperating with them – one would logically conclude from those statements she was answering questions. She stopped answering questions once she had an attorney. They were free to ask her questions with her attorney present but rather appears they didn’t want to ask her questions with a lawyer present.
Why didn’t she pass the polygraphs? Who knows that reason why she and thousands of people don’t pass a polygraph even when innocent. Guilty people have passed polygraphs.
As for her not showing emotions when Kyron went missing. Several pictures of her standing with Kaine, with Kaine and Terri shows the grief on her face. James, her son, stated his mother was hysterical when Kyron went missing.
As for why she was sextexting? I don’t know I would presume for the whatever reasons many thousands of other people do or for the whatever reasons those many thousands of married men and women do who sit on the computer talking on sex site chat rooms. Was it wrong for her to do that while Kyron is missing? Let’s see, she had been ostracized and continuously attacked by Kaine, Terri and Tony Young and most newspapers article about her were scathing; she had been receiving death threats; crazies in the public over there have been posting quite scary posts by the words they use in writing attacking her; she was all alone with the world falling down around her … so I’m not about to judge her conduct in private.
Why isn’t she making any statements? Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out – her lawyer is not permitting her to nor is he making any. Majority of lawyers do not want their clients making any public statements.
September 1st, 2010 at 4:30 pm
She may be a suspect but there is no evidence against her. Her natural parents should be suspect too, that’s standard procedure in any missing child case. All the relatives and close family friends should be suspects.
September 1st, 2010 at 4:09 pm
TH’s own behavior has pointed the finger at her for the crime. why didnt she answer all the questions when investigated? why did she fail the polygraphs? why was she sexting when Kyron was missing? why has she not shown any emotion when her stepson is missing? why is she not saying, i’m innocent? there are other things too, it doest take a rocket scientist to figure out she indeed is a suspect…

Awake, there is an unproven allegation by a landscaper that TH asked him to kill her husband. The police attempted to pull a Sting on her and it backfired on them when she went to the phone and called the police. That made them look quite the fool and with this investigation being so mishandled by them that would be quite an apt description of them.
She did not text that court document to MC she showed it to him and he sent it to two friends. Why she never ‘smelled’ that obvious set up when he knocked at her door offering a hand of friendship is beyond my comprehension.
As for her and her friends using and discarding cell phones to talk with each other is certainly understandable. The police were harassing and pointing the finger at another friend of TH as a possible accomplice in Kyron’s disappearance and confiscating all phone records and computers along with dragging her and other friends before the Grand Jury. I myself wouldn’t trust them not to deliberately misinterpret an innocent phone call of ‘how are you doing and holding up’ query to TH.
It is not necessarily they may believe Kyron to be alive. They can’t state he is deceased as they have not found any remains. Thus, he will stay a missing child and presumed alive until proven otherwise.
Just how has Terri Horman obstructed the investigation? The police themselves announced several times in the investigation that she was cooperating with them. TH herself was so upset in not passing the polygraphs she told the family herself she didn’t pass them. It wasn’t until she hired a lawyer to protect her Rights under the Law, once they tried that Sting and failed, they could no longer talk to her without her lawyer being present. That is when the ongoing onslaught of smears, leaking questionable information about her to the newspapers by so-called reliable sources, and briefing Desiree and Kaine prior to each conference held by them began.
imo, it is the police conduct and others that should be questioned. They held that press conference showing a picture of a white truck they put on the school side road and asking people to come forward if they remembered seeing it parked there. People are to clearly remember back 3 months what they saw? Talk about a deliberate attempt to manipulate people’s minds, which is one ploy police have been known to use. It seems the school grounds keeper remembered it wasn’t there during the time frame stated, as he used that side road; but once the police finished talking with him he changed his time fame to suit the police time frame. The conference Desiree and Kaine held where they went off on their tirade accusing DeDE of being involved and threatening her with a lawsuit. Police had briefed them on their suspicions of DeDe. Police state they have over 3,500 leads but interesting enough they have yet to state just one example of a lead they received and followed up on that would show a suspect other than TH. Just who is obstructing this investigation?

Ok – the typo is done.
RJ – Typo, aside – why horribly written. This is round-up of news and facts. The police have not found the child.

Brooke, you say “All Terri Horman is worried about is herself. Who the HELL CARES if people are pointing the finger at her. If she didn’t do it then she needs to be out there with the rest of the world trying to find this little boy. Actions speak louder than words and this womans actions are horrifying. She is guilty of being a horrible mother and person. In addition to a number of other things that she will eventually be brought to justice for.
From what her lawyer has said and thus may be one of the reasons had her move away from the area to her parents over a hundred miles away, those crazies that live in that area are actually making death threats against her! With the questionable mentality of many of the people posting over there, the crazies then seeing her out in public searching and the mob mentality should take over there is no doubt she would be in grave danger.
What do you mean she is guilty of being a horrible mother and person? I read an article printed over there wherein people were interviewed who knew her and they praised her love and devotion to children and to Kyron and James. One should give any credence to those crazies that post over there, who don’t even know her, with their nasty filthy innuendos; claims she harmed Kyron without proof; some calling for her to be executed?
September 1st, 2010 at 7:10 am
I am all for “innocent til proven guilty” and considering she has not been arrested nor named an official suspect, obviously the police believe in it too. Kyron’s parents…well, I have to cut them some slack as they are living every parent’s worst nightmare.
September 1st, 2010 at 6:23 am
Rather appears they are having problems across the pond, doesn’t it, in solving the missing child’s case, least of finding him. Apparently their inept police force, still unable to solve the case going on 4 months, are reluctant to name the step mother as their prime suspect, and, thus, the parents appear to be permitted to name their prime suspect on their behalf.
One can only feel compassion for the parents with their child missing and the stress and heartbreak they must be going through not knowing of his whereabouts or if he’ll even be found.. However, Desiree’s increasingly vehement tirades against TH every time she appears before the press and public are becoming somewhat puzzling. Is she so consumed with hatred for the woman who raised her child and married her ex-husband that she is determined to make certain that the only focus by the police and public be directed solely on TH and, thus, no other possible perpetrators should even be considered or investigated?
I glanced back at other press conferences she and Kaine have held and there are discrepancies in what they stated their views, observations and thoughts of TH were in the beginning and what they state now.
“Terri Horman’s lawyer, Stephen Houze, has said that his client has been receiving death threats and that the media frenzy surrounding the case has morphed into a “witch hunt.”” That appears to be the only comment he has made except for ‘no comment’ when queried by the press on this case thus far. Apparently he has instructed TH to stay out of the public eye and make no comments to even defend herself.
Many of the people over in the US are posting vicious, filthy innuendos and accusations against TH and not a hand has been raised to stop that by Mr Houze. It is as if he is permitting any and all smears to come down on her with a purpose in mind.
“… And Terri Horman has not issued a libel writ.” That wouldn’t be filed until no charges against her are brought or if brought she is found innocent. At that point in time, it is practically a guarantee there will slander and libel suits raining down all over the place.
September 1st, 2010 at 5:16 am
Proof read this please. Your title says “With” hunt and we all know what happened to Kaine Horman. That being said. All people want is the TRUTH and to BRING KYRON HOME! If it takes a witch hunt to bring that about then so be it.
September 1st, 2010 at 5:09 am
“There is lot we do not know. We do not know what happened to Kaine Horman. We do not know if any crime has befallen him.” —That should read “…what happened to KYRON Horman.”

I am sorry but this is NOT a witch hunt. This woman has something to hide. I can’t even imagine my emotional state if this happened to someone close to me that wasn’t even family.. let alone a little boy that was my step-child. All Terri Horman is worried about is herself. Who the HELL CARES if people are pointing the finger at her. If she didn’t do it then she needs to be out there with the rest of the world trying to find this little boy. Actions speak louder than words and this womans actions are horrifying. She is guilty of being a horrible mother and person. A horribly written piece that does little more than insult the reader. Yuch!
September 1st, 2010 at 2:39 am
So let’s see, there’s a landscaper who claims this woman asked him to kill her husband, and then she is caught violating a court order by sexting and sharing a court sealed document with someone who she supposedly is just getting to know. On top of that she and her friends used and discarded cell phones bought under false names.
Most likley, Law Enforcement is trying to not only round up and catch accomplices, but waiting to make an arrest in order to try to bring that kid home alive (and they do believe he’s alive.
Sorry Anorak, the “witch hunt” is warranted and so far. This person has acted like a witch and obstructed the investigation in a child’s disappearance, her own stepchild. You seem ok with her actions so far, or is that just how tabloid people think?
September 1st, 2010 at 2:18 am
Please fix the headline spelling. That is just embarrassing.
