For this so loving Mum to say in the Woman’s Hour interview
“Whoever she’s with, she’ll be giving them their tuppence worth” hardly sounded
broken hearted and fearful.

I agree Emma, carrying a child down those steps in the dark does seem somewhat unlikely, and given we do know MM was inclined to wakefulness,her screams surely would have wafted over the quiet evening air on being disturbed and taken outside. Also an abductor is unlikely to know the layout of the apartment and would hardly turn lights on to see

Well there was a busy road on one side and a pool on the other so your theory could be correct there June.
For my part, I have no idea what happened to Madeleine. However, given the facts and stasticial probability, I think the LEAST likely scenario is abduction from her bed. That, of course, does not mean that an abduction did not happen.

Cheshire Set,
there’s no evidence for any of our views – there is the sole fact that MM is missing.
I wonder if she left the building , she got hit by a car, it stopped and the driver removed her (remains) from the area.

I didn’t for one minute expect C& C to defend herself but surely I can ask why one would accept a view that has no evidence??

I don’t agree with C&C theory, but I do feel she does have the right to express it without defending herself, after all she has never, since this woeful saga started never attacked anyone for reasonably held and well presented views that differ to hers.
Until the truth emerges, if it ever does, all we can all do is speculate.

I don’t blindly accept anyone’s version… made my own mind up! Wow, now there’s a thing…… 🙂
