Elvis impersonator guilty of armed robberies
MARTIN Reilly, 53, the Northamptonshire crook who raided bookmakers in Northamptonshire, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Bedfordshire and Essex while disguised as Elvis Presley , Bill Oddie and Martin Jarvis doing his legendary impression of Rolf Harriss has admitted to a litany of crimes at Lewes Crown Court.
He will be sentenced in April.
Said Det Insp Ian Still, of Sussex Police, who led the inquiry:
“This was a demanding investigation but one which was particularly satisfying.”
Indeed, it was a party atmosphere – aided by Reilly who came dressed a Russ Abbott. In another life, he might have been a star…
