Russian Revolution exam features BattleTech Marauder robot fighting for socialists
EXAMS in Australia have gotten updated. The country’s VCE exam body thought fit to show the truth and not airbrush out the massive robot from a scene depicting socialist fighters during the Russian Revolution. No text books feature the unsettling truth that robots fought for the working man. But now the 5,700 students who took the VCE history exam know the facts.
Of course, the powers that be now say that the picture - Storming the Winter palace on 25th October 1917 by Nikolai Kochergin – should not feature a huge robot. Conspiracy theories may wonder.
The authorities say the BattleTech Marauder robot was added later. A spokesman for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) says the picture was “sourced and acknowledged by the VCAA as coming from the Internet…The image has been altered but the alteration of the image won’t impact on the students’ capacity to answer the examination question. The VCAA will monitor students’ answers to ensure that any student who has been distracted by the image will not be disadvantaged.”
So. Taking things from the internt to sue in exams is fine. And Lenin was a robot (see below).
Discuss.

erm – it’s a robot – it might be quite imposing, but ultimately if you pull the plug it’s just another heap of metal….

First off, there is no Japanese Robotech. It’s called Macross in Japan. So that would mean it’s basted off The Macross Zentradi Tactical Battlepod. And yes,, just because a bunch of no talent hacks at Harmony Gold (American) renamed Robotech, doesn’t stop it from being the work of the people at Big West (Japanese). All hail lord Shoji Kawamori! Long live Macross! Death to Harmony Gold! Robotech fans should kill themselves for the love of lord Shoji Kawamori!

Being a bit pedantic here, but its not strictly a robot as it has a pilot inside it , it would be better to class it as a ‘ mech ‘.
The Battletech Marauder is heavily based on the Zentraedi Officer’s Battle Pod from the Japanese ‘ Robotech ‘ cartoons of the 80s.
