Spurs Balls: Hoddle, Sherwood And De Boer Miss Out As Louis van Gaal Gets Manger’s Job (Say Experts)

WHO will be the next manager at Tottenham Hotspur? The current incumbent is Tim Sherwood. He feels unsettled:

“Every Press conference I do it’s ‘this manager’s coming in… Van Gaal, then Hoddle, this one and that one. Some of these managers are actually touting themselves for my job and I don’t think that’s right. If anyone asks me about another job I just tell them they’ve got a manager. Until they haven’t got a manager and I haven’t got a job, say nothing.”

Anyone think Sherwood will retire gracefully back  to his former job as reserve team coach?

Hoddle then responds:

“Tim Sherwood is having a go at managers ‘touting’ themselves for his job. How wrong can you be? I imagine by naming me he is deflecting attention from himself.”

And he’s on his way out, if Sky Sports is to be believed:

Tim Sherwood to be relieved of managerial duties at Tottenham this summer

And if not Hoddle, then who? Talk Sport hears from an insider:

Former Tottenham coach Clive Allen has told talkSPORT he expects Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to take over from current Spurs manager Tim Sherwood in the summer.

The manager of Champions’ League finalists Real Madrid is heading to a side that has qualified for the biggest prize in European football once.

….asked who he thought would be in the White Hart Lane hotseat next season, the former Spurs man told Kick Off: “If I was a betting man I’d have my money on Carlo Ancelotti.”

At which point his bank manager and wife breathe sighs of relief that Allen is not a betting man. Or is he?
