Mr Kelly has been reported missing by his family. Police say that Dr Kelly went missing from his home in Abingdon, near Oxford, at around 3pm Thursday July 17, 2003, after telling his wife he was going for a walk. The family called police when he had failed to return by 11.45pm. 20/07/03 The BBC’s Director of News has confirmed that scientist Dr David Kelly was the source of the controversial Iraq dossier story, BBC News 24 announced. Dr Kelly’s body was found near his home in Oxfordshire on Friday.
