FRED Dibnah is now a museum. The Bolton News puts the opening of Fred Dibnah in understated tones. You can’t help but think that Dibnah, one of the top half dozen TV steeplejacks, would have approved:

THEY travelled from as far as Sutton Coldfield and Loughborough to look around Fred Dibnah’s “Aladdin’s cave” of a work yard.

The coffin of celebrity steeplejack Fred Dibnah passes an old mill as it rides the steam engine through the streets of Bolton ahead of the funeral service at Bolton Parish Church, Bolton. The colourful and eccentric television personality died aged 66 on November 6 after a three-year battle with cancer.
