Princess Diana’s Jam: A Sticky End In A Jam Jar In Pictures

FOR £5 you can buy a jar of jam made from Princess Diana’s hair – a sticky end in a jam car for the celebrity royal.

Old Mr Anorak, our patron, still has the bar of soap (with bonus hair and wooden splinter) the Queen Mother Gave him when she was courting. He plans to distil it and make a restorative cocktail.

Diana’s jam was made by sticking a bit of a Diana’s hair in gin and blending it with milk and sugar. (It’s what she would have wanted.) The result looks not a lot unlike Prince Edward’s complexion – there is some rumour that a generous nightly smearing is the secret to his radiance.

Diana’s Hair Jam forms part of a range of ‘occult jam’ created by Bompas & Parr for The Surreal House art show at London’s Barbican Art Gallery. It’s art that goes well with crackers…
