KYRON Horman: Anorak’s look at the missing Oregon boy in the news – he has been missing for 8 weeks:

Terri Horman’s Pals

Authorities investigating Kyron Horman’s disappearance June 4 from Northwest Portland’s Skyline School have searched the Tualatin condo of Terri Horman’s close friend DeDe Spicher [pictured], seizing her phone and computer. They also have interviewed Michael Cook, a high school friend of Kyron’s dad, whom court records say Terri Horman was “sexting” days after her husband filed for divorce.

The Case

Kyron Horman has been missing for almost two months. But so far no charges have been filed in the Portland seven-year-old’s disappearance. A fact that may be changing now that his parents have testified before a grand jury.

Your writer Caleb Hannan does not say why this “might “happen only that it “might”.

Such are the facts.

[Desiree] Young and Kaine [Horman] say they think DeDe knows something about Kyron’s disappearance. And police say that neither she, nor Terri, can account for a 90-minute window on the morning that Kyron went missing.

And..? And nothing.

These are sealed proceedings, so we won’t know what took place until it’s over and done.

The Legals

Attorney and former Multnomah County Sheriff’s Captain Bruce McCain said “It’s clear that the district attorney, who is the legal adviser to the grand jury, is now confident enough to start this process. Hopefully, that will lead to an indictment… They [Kyron’s parents] are probably going to the first in a long list of civilian witnesses who will be joining the investigators and boxes and boxes of evidence in this process.”

But what crime occurred, if any?

The Evidence

Kyron Horman’s mother, Desiree Young, says Terri Horman has “ice in her veins”…

The Money

Multnomah County sheriff’s deputies said they’re receiving five to 10 tips every hour after raising the reward amount to $50,000 for information in Kyron’s disappearance.

The Fear

The mistaken identity has left 9-year-old Hayden Nys afraid to go anywhere without his parents because he’s fearful that he’ll be kidnapped. To try and lessen the resemblance between Hayden and Kyron, the Nys have cut their son’s hair and obtained different eyeglasses for him to wear.

KATU reports Hayden’s parents are also planning to obtain t-shirts for Hayden to wear that have his photo on the front with the words “No reward for this kid.”
