New Yorks Times Bans Mr Osama Bin Laden: Mr Hitler Approves
HOW do you report on Osama bin Laden? The NY Times bans the use of Mr Osama bin Laden, as in who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler:
At Jill and Bill’s request, we dropped the honorific for Bin Laden.
Without a “Mr.” in front of his name, it was decided that we should capitalize the “B” in Bin Laden on second references.
Quite so.

Ibrahim Hussein Eidarous, one of the two Egyptian nationals in a prison van, after he appeared in Bow Street Magistrates court for the first time in connection with the 1998 bombing of two American embassies in Africa. * Eidarous and Adel Mohanned Abdul Bary were both arrested in London 11/7/99 on United States extradition warrants. The court was told the pair conspired with the international Islamic terrorist Osama bin Laden and others to murder American citizens. Eidarous, 42, of Waldo Road in Harlesden, north west London, and Bary, 39, of Randolph Avenue in Maida Vale, west London, were both remanded in custody for a week.
