FABRICE Muamba walked onto the pitch before the Premier League match between Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur at the Reebok Stadium. Just 46 days earlier Muamba had collapsed on the pitch at White Heart Lane. His heart stopped beating independently for 78 minutes. The talk is of his playing professional football again. But it must be unlikely. Footballers have medical insurance. Would anyone insure Muamba? It’s just a marvel he has all his faculties and can make a public appearance so soon after his near-death experience. He’s gotten out before Liam Stacey.
