Praying For Christopher Hitchens And Other Ironies

ATHEIST Christopher Hitchens wrote the book God Is Not Great in 2007, and, while promoting his followup, a memoir, in June, was stricken and diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus that has spread to his lymph nodes.
He writes on VanityFair.com that “irony is my business and I just can’t see any ironies here,” yet concludes that aiding his admittedly slim chances at survival are not only “a group of brilliant and selfless physicians” but “an astonishing number of prayer groups“.
