Fiery Reaction To Cherie Blair’s Muslim Veil Comments
IN “My doubts about the Muslim veil,” the Telegraph looks at Cherie Blair.
Says the former self-styled First Lady: “Women covering their heads, women dressing modestly, I have no problem with at all. I think, however, that if you get to a stage where a woman is not able to express her personality because you can’t see her face, then you do start to have to ask whether that is something that is actually acknowledging the woman’s right to be a person in her own right.”
The reaction will be swift and merciless. Anorak’s attention is drawn to goings on at the Edinbridge Firework Society, Kent. The shadowy group has erected a 25ft effigy, complete with grin-and-tell book and pile of cash. It is to be torched.
That it should come to this…

Niqab is in fact forbiden by many Muslim clerics. The holly book is extremely clear, asking all Muslims to dress modestly and the women to cover their head. In fact, the exact term used in the Holly book is more correctly translated by neck than head.
Hijab is in the Koran but Niqab comes, as it was said earlier, from pre-islamic traditions.
I would like to highlight the fact that the Hijab was meant at differentiating Muslim women from the others in order to protect them from the uses of Non-Muslim men and pre-islamic society.
Now, rather than forbidding, I think we should ensure the Muslim community in the UK receives some religious education.

I have nuns. They’re old and have still gotten over the veil. Chucked it in about 15 years ago.

Oh… and it’s definitely Michael Jackson.
Unless Cherie’s been replying to those Megadik emails.

No where in the last testament, which is the Noble Quran or In the teachings of Prophet Muhammed PBUH says women must hide their faces but if they do why do all hypocrites moan? I am neither for it nor against it but how can a niqab harm someone? Your nuns wear similar clothes & this has been your wear for centuries but it doesnt go down your throat if a muslimah wants to wear a full veil. people shout & attack with all means possible when they see someone in excess clothing but what about the non-muslim females who are at the other end of the scale & wear too little. The Bias media, stupid politicians & a handful of fools who buy their rubbish just wont get over it.

Now that is one face that should be hidden!

Isn’t that an effigy of Michael Jackson?
Very appropriate, though, because he has a surgically implanted face mask.

If it had been religious, why is it such a new phenomena, and why do young lads have to wear it too oh we forget!!! the holy war, the famous jihad

The finest speech Cherie has made…couldn’t agree more..ban motor cycle helmets in shops and banks..ban hoodies…now ban the niqab! (full face veil)…anyway, it’s not a religious thing..some Muslims told me its ‘cultural’..so then they have to adapt to British open and transparent culture..and they can’t then hide behind their religion…
