Amsterdam Mayor Says Ban The Burqa Or Lose Benefits
MORE fashion news now as Amsterdam Mayor Job Cohen says “women who fail to find a job because they wear a burqa should not receive unemployment benefit.”
Cohen is talking to Trouw, the Dutch daily.
Mayor Cohen emphasized that he is opposed to a general ban on the burqa, since it is an expression of religious belief. However, in situations in which contact with other people is necessary, such as at school or in the workplace, he argues that women should choose a less restrictive head covering.
Says one city’s worker from her store-front window:
“Can I keep the gloves on?”
So say the, er, sex burqas (apologies to one and all…)

Genesis 2 ends with the note that the man and woman were naked, and were not ashamed.

dairy
even nuns are less ‘covered up’ and are easily identified by hair and eye colour as well as complexion.
The burqa is false modesty, especially as it has been used to disguise the male form.
Again , in Muslim countries we are expected to obey their codes, when in the Western world then they should obey ours.

IMO he is absolutely right - where there are issues of identification, clothing like this should be banned.
what’s the point in CCTV, security checks, identity cards if some lowlife is just going to disguise himself in a burqa in order to get away with whatever he intends to do….? haven’t there already been several cases reported where it has been used as an effective disguise?
as far as I am aware, it is a cultural fashion, not a religious requirement and therefore should be subject to restriction where identification is important.
