Madeleine McCann: Let’s Blame The Muslims
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann: The McCanns has aked the police to create an image of Our Maddie as she might look now. There is also a video. The media gets to work:
Sky News: “Pictures Of Madeleine McCann, Aged Six”
Police have released new age-enhanced pictures of Madeleine McCann. This is how Madeleine McCann would look now, aged six. We’ve seen similar artist’s impressions before.
There’s a video of the missing child in seven languages, on the website of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre. One picture shows her with a deep suntan she might have developed if she is living in southern Europe or North Africa.
Says Ceop’s head Jim Gamble:
“The person we are looking to reach is likely to be a partner, family member, friend or colleague of the person or people who were involved in Madeleine’s disappearance. If you haven’t divulged your secret because of love, loyalty or fear, be assured that it is never too late to reveal the information to your local police…
“If you are a parent or carer, a student or member of the public who is a social networker, blogger or emailer, or if you run any type of online environment, big or small, please look at the film today, link to it, share it with your friends and post it in the online communities you occupy.”
That’s Ceop. Never heard of it? You have now.
Those front pages:
Daily Star (front page): “Is Maddie a Muslim?”
She’s too young to wear a veil, so all hope is not lost…
The Sun (front page): “MADDIE IN MOROCCO?”
Metro (front page): “Is this Maddie?”
No. It’s a computer-aided picture.
Daily Mirror (front page): “MADDY?”
No. Still not her. Maddy or Maddie - discuss?
Daily Express (front page): “MADDIE”
It’s her. The Express is certain. No questions here.
The Darkies
The Sun: Cops’ pics of how Maddie might look abroad
THESE startling new images show how missing Madeleine McCann’s appearance could have dramatically changed if kidnappers are holding her in North Africa, as detectives believe. Cops say Maddie’s captors may have dyed her hair dark brown to make her look like other kids in Morocco or Tunisia.
That’s where zey lurve zer leetle blondie girrrls, so much so thet they steal them and die their hair dark.
Spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “Kate feels North Africa is very important in the search. That is based on her research - North Africa is one of the top areas for organised child trafficking - on top of a mother’s gut feeling.”
Daily Star: “MUSLIM MADDIE”
Because only Muslims are darkies and only Muslims might take our Great British blonde kids?
BRITISH police believe Madeleine McCann could now be living as a Muslim. They think she might have been held captive in the human trafficking haven of North Africa. Detectives last night launched a global internet appeal urging people to help catch Maddie’s kidnapper.
They also released an image showing how the youngster, who vanished in Portugal in May 2007, would now look if she had been raised by Arabs.
Get the darkies! And find the Arab’s yacht!
The Hope
Daily Mirror: “THE TWO FACES OF MADELEINE”
Mr Gamble is convinced Madeleine may still be alive and pointed to the case of American teenager Jaycee Dugard as evidence. He added: “I’ve reviewed cases of children who turned up four, eight, 18 years later. Statisticians do that most awful of thing, taking away people’s hope.”
Daily Express: “MCCANNS: HELP US TO BRING HER HOME”
From being the McCanns’ pariah, the Express is now at the heart of the Our Maddie story: “HELP US.”
The “age-progressed” photos are part of a unique 60-second film released in seven languages across the internet today. “A Minute for Madeleine,” endorsed by Kate and Gerry McCann, is not targeted at the abductor but at his relatives, friends and associates.
A Minute For Madeleine. No Stone Unturned. Look Into My eyes. Our Maddie is a hunt for an innocent child run by a marketing committee.
The Columnists
Daily Mirror, Sue Carroll: “For Kate’s sake, don’t give up on Maddy McCann”
Not for Maddy’s sake, then?
For most of us, the events in Portugal’s Praia da Luz three summers ago are now a blur – a distant unhappy memory of lighting candles, prayers and appeals for a little girl snatched from a holiday apartment.
Well, no. Our Maddy has been in the news almost constantly, sometimes the subject of a torrent of non-news, at other times a trickle.
But then something happens to remind us of Madeleine McCann and once again we catch our breath and try to imagine the misery her parents, Gerry and Kate, experience every day as another reminder of their missing daughter emerges in a child’s laughter or a little girl’s sudden captivating smile.
Nothing happens. All we get is a PR-led campaign to find the innocent child, which the tabloid media seizes upon as an easy way to prick our misery ducts and create emotion and sensation. All we do is stare.

Sandra Felgueiras the Portuguese reporter asked the Mccanns some questions that the British reporters seem afraid of…she asked about the cadaver dogs…she asked if they had spoken to Gorden Brown recently…She asked kate about the book…Kates answer ,”well its financial is’nt it…” Rich coming from someone who paid their mortgage with Fund money.
Mccann looked uncomfortable…
But Mr McCann insisted that: “The place to have those discussions is in the judicial and legal environment where they can be properly assessed and dealt with within the bounds of the law.
This interview will be shown in full next Thursday on RTPI

Thanks Maria….will have to get my application in quick to beat the rush! Now the eye defect is only a fleck! So much was made of this in the beginning. More to come out by the sounds of it.

MY GOD! One glance and you’ve found Kate out! She’s such a fool to have given herself away. She didn’t reckon with brilliant Sherlocks like you two. Hasn’t she even heard of magnifying glasses, I ask myself? (You’d think she’d look over her comments more carefully, under the circumstances, wouldn’t you?)
Anyway, to the police quick! Tell ‘em! Tell ‘em! And ask’em for a job while you’re at it. Your incisive minds and observant eyes are a loss to the force. Stupid Plods will stare with admiration when you explain. There must so many unsolved mysteries you could sort for them in the twinkling of an eye.

Madeleine’s eye defect - well, that was a quick fix wasn’t it. Only a fleck now. What has gone on? Now there is something to think about!

Seem to remember by a photo the Mccanns jogged amongst wild dogs but cant find photo now

The reason why is because they believe there is a link with Morocco as she probably was seen there for the last time (she might not be it, however). As that’s a link and there is no link to Japan, Nigeria or Chile - she’s referred to as such.
Whoever is holding her - if she is still alive - should bring the little girl back to her own parents. No god in the world will accept this.

Anyone notice yesterday how Kate played down Maddies Coloboma, it is now just a fleck and maddie has unusual eyes anyway. ..they are different shades of colour, she also said you would have to be really close to notice it….
Mccann said she could be wearing contact lenses….Odd after making maddise eyes ” A good marketing ploy, they seem now to be of no importance”..

I can fully understand and sympathize with the McCanns their determination to find out what happened to their daughter and if she is still alive. More and more it seems as if they are convinced she is alive and someone has her with all the latest publicity of her pictures being shown at an age now. I wonder if in fact the Duggard case; the case over in Europe of the daughter who was held in a basement by her father for years; the Smart case; and the boy found here a couple of years ago after being missing for 4 years, held by a paedo, are what are keeping their beliefs going she is alive somewhere. There wasn’t non-stop publicity day after day and year are year on those missing children. Publicity played no part in their re-appearance. Police in CA blew several chances of finding the Duggard girl before now and even then they weren’t searching for her. The one boy was only found after four years as the police were following up a lead searching for a young boy seen grabbed at a bus stop and went to an apartment and found both. The daughter in Europe was only ‘found’ so to speak when she went to the hospital re her sick child; and I believe the Smart girl escaped from her abductor after about a year.

Blame the Muslims - how dare you blame those blood thirsty bastards. What have they ever done but blow themselves up, kill women that don’t conform to their standards and fly planes into buildings. We wouldn’t want to offend their sensibility. Of course there are all those innocent Muslims that do nothing about their brethren’s demonstrative actions but will scream holly hell about cartoon depiction.
November 3rd, 2009 at 10:21 pm
Fiona, I got 44,100 possibilites, could you narrow it don a bit for me please? Also, said it before, but there seems to be a determination to link Maddie’s disappearance to Muslims in some way, like the girl caught on the camera by the Security Guard with the lady. Thank God she wasn’t in the UK, we’d have had vigilantes kicking shit out of every Muslim lady they could find in the local area, like when they attacked the paediatrician’s house in Portsmouth (unless that’s an urban ledge!) Those naughty Muslims, what will they think of next?

Gamble is also reluctant to offer his own theory of what happened to her. That and sticking to the facts makes a refreshing change from what we’ve been reading over the past few months.
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:18 pm
There are also many more specialist medical questions, I would like to ask including child protection.
And I have to add type in Susan Boyle and Maddie McCann in google and you get some interesting results.
Plus what exactly did really go on in The Church?
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Gamble sticks to the facts - he never used the words kidnap nor abduct…
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:52 pm
She wouldn’t be wearing a shirt with that logo.
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:03 pm
“Some Guy from SPAIN Kidnapped this child”
Have you told the police? You sound so certain, I’m sure they’d be interested to know more.
November 3rd, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Where has the coloboma in her eye gone?
They don’t go away, they are congenital and life long and extremely rare often associated with congenital heart disease.
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:49 pm
irony, Lina, p*sstake, satire - do any of those ring a bell? - you’re a bit touchy.. how do you know he was from Spain anyway…???
..and yes, blaming the muslims (if it were a serious proposal, that is) is the easy way out - just the same as they blame all of us for all the ills and madness in this world…. it doesn’t make it any better and doesn’t improve things though, does it…?
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Blame the Muslims???-What the??!?!!
Some Guy from SPAIN Kidnapped this child and all people can do now is blame the Muslims?-Although i guess for people blaming the Muslims is an easy way out!
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:07 pm
lyn - with a different haircut she starts looking like Victoria Beckham, with a spray-on tan.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:53 am
A ginge? Under the North African sun. We are talking freckle city then
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:17 am
And after this, the titians, or carrot tops as they are more affectionately known as…..
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:14 am
What can living in a hot country do to white people..nothing. They would get sunburnt. Only way to get a tan like the girl the McCanns portray would be to get a spray tan.
November 3rd, 2009 at 10:39 am
well… now we are no longer limiting the search to the blonde and fair (are we still picking ourselves up off the floor at the thought that there can be natural blond children in Africa?), the dark and swarthy now qualify as well. Let the sightings begin!
November 3rd, 2009 at 10:31 am
So the dark image of Madeleine is there because they think she may have had exposure to the sun which would actually have made her hair lighter rather than darker. This is a complete and utter farce. They fick as shit ain’t they. duh!
Carry on…nothing to see here…..
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:56 am
She’s also aged about 6 years in the past two, she looks about 10 in those photos and the dark hair? or is that courtesy of ‘because she’s worth it?’
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:14 am
I don’t think the Japs are swarthy enough.
(that’s a joke - not real racism - I swear).
