KYRON Horman is missing. Kyron Horman went missing in Oregon two weeks ago, on June 4, 2010. Kyron Horman is 7. His step-mother Terri Moulton Horman last saw him walking down the school hallway toward his classroom at Skyline School.

This is every parents nightmare ,” says a voice on Mom’s Logic . It always is.

Another voice says she knows what happened to Kyron Horman. Her child is outside the school grounds.

We told our daughter about Kyron Horman, the boy who’s been missing almost two weeks from his Portland elementary school science fair. We told her how he went missing from school, too and how you can NEVER leave school grounds unattended. If you get lost at school or separated from your class, we told her, just go to the principal’s office and they will help you.

This was a major wakeup call. We’d always thought our school was safe — and that our daughter would never leave school grounds.

Stranger Danger! Although:

Skeptics latched on to the fact Horman wrote on her Facebook page she was “hitting the gym.” To some, that seemed out of character for a parent with a missing child.


Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office officials explained at a news conference that they’d told the family to continue their normal routine and try to stay healthy.

The police give more advice and a vow:

Captain Jason Gates of the Multnomah County sheriff’s office said Saturday that police received a 9-1-1 call at 3:45 Friday afternoon…

Gates asked all neighbors to thoroughly search their properties, including outbuildings, a “no stone left unturned” search.

No stone unturned. It’s the Madeleine McCann mantra.

The timeline of a missing child:

8 a.m. Kyron Horman arrives for the school science fair and talent show. He is with Terri Moulton Horman.

8:15 a.m. Gina Zimmerman, president of the school PTA, sees Kyron and Terri

8:45 a.m. Kyron walks to his class. Terri leaves.

Kyron’s homeroom teacher, Kristina Porter, notices he is not there.

1:21 p.m. Terri Horman publishes photos of
