Rosie O’Donnell, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama But No George Bush

by | 3rd, May 2007

ROSIE O’Donnell, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama are. George Bush is not.

TIME magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people has been compiled. These are not the 100 Sexiest, the 100 Most Fanciable, the 100 Best Chests but the 100 Most Influential.

Like you we have no idea what this means. It might mean nothing. Osama bin Laden is not on the list – the world’s most wanted man, a mass murderer who influences American foreign policy – is not as influential as Justin Timberlake.

Indeed, under the heading “Leaders & Revolutionaries” Bill Gates and his fragrant wife Melinda are mentioned.

Leonardo DiCaprio is influential. And Rosie O’Donnell. And Sacha Baron Cohen.

They shape the world in which we live. Not just Americans who go to the cinema and watch the telly, but the entire world. Africans, South Americans, Asians and the French are influenced by Rosie O’Donnell.

Queen Elizabeth II is influential. Charmless Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is influential. So too her rival Barack Obama. YouTube founders Steve Chen and Chad Hurley are influential. Director Martin Scorsese is influential. Kate Moss is influential.

President Bush is not influential. He only controls vast Armies.

Under “Heroes and Pioneers”, Angelina Jolie gets a mention. She is, apparently, a “power giver”.

Prince Edward’s whereabouts are unknown…
