And now: “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for this to happen and I apologise to my fans, who I care so deeply about.”
“The photo suggests that she is naked but she is not. She is covered by a sheet but beneath the sheet she is clothed. Originally she was in a flesh-coloured tank top but was asked to remove it.”
Mail readers may wonder how long it will be before all teenage girls and young women are aping their idol and going about the place in flesh-coloured tank tops, not to mention tank bottoms and tank knickers.
Says a spokesman for the Disney Channel, which broadcasts Hannah Montana: “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
Disgusting. And we should all thank the Mail for shining a light on this filth before it got out of hand…
