Saudi Arabia Bans Walking With Cats

TO Saudi Arabia, where the police are clamping down on pets, and public displays of pets.

Cats and dogs should not be sold in Riyadh, the country’s capital? Why? Because they are encourage fornication, adultery and family worrying:

Saudi Arabia’s religious police have announced a ban on selling cats and dogs as pets, or walking them in public in the Saudi capital, because of men using them as a means of making passes at women, an official said on Wednesday.

That’s right, Saudi men have taking to walking cats.

Can the Saudis be so very isolated and out of touch with the rest of the world that they have taken to walking cats? And what kind of woman would respond favourably to a man walking a tabby?

Othman al-Othman, head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice in Riyadh, known as the Muttawa, says men have been walking cats and dogs “to make passes on women and disturb families”.

And very possibly walking cats and dogs together – which is a recipe for upset…

It’s the mice, they should be worrying about
