Robber Demands Precious Metals At Black Diamond Ski Store
AT the Black Diamond store, Salt Lake County, a man is brandishing an ice pick and demanding precious metals and money.
The clerk wonders. The Black Diamond company manufactures climbing and skiing equipment. Where the f*** is he going to get precious metals from at such short notice?
Says Lt. Don Hutson:
“Not sure if he was unfamiliar with what this business was, that it’s mountaineering gear and that type of thing.”
So the clerk hands over come climbing equipment, and a computer which may contain precious metals. The man runs off.
They’ll never catch him:
The suspect is described as a Polynesian man in his 20s or 30s with a full-sleeve tattoo on his right arm. He was wearing a large, distinctive square-faced watch on his left wrist. Sheriff’s deputies say he’s about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build and a shaved head. He was driving a white 1990s Ford Escape-type SUV.
And somewhere up a mountain, a man looks for a socket…
