Bromsgrove Rumblings: Leader Of The Opposition Title To Be Abolished
YAMPSTER writes of goings on in Bromsgrove between the Conservatives and their Labour foe:
THE seating affair at Bromsgrove Council rumbles on. Back in August the Conservative led Council refused to recognize their Labour opposite numbers as ‘The Opposition’ and asked them to vacate the opposition benches when the Independent faction at the council decided that their coalition was now the official opposition. The Labour Councillors refused and the police were called. The session decended further into farce when the council, reconvened in another room, refusing to let in the Labour members.
The news this week is that the Council is to spend £45k on examining ‘alleged breaches of the members’ code of conduct’
The money would be better spent on salt. (Source)
