Durham Police officers Glen Davies (left) and Lee Blakelock - whose father was hacked to death in 1985 during rioting at the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham, north London - who have been commended by the Force's Chief Constable for tackling a knifeman. * The pair had responded October last year to reports of glass breaking and raised voices at an address in Sunny Blunts, Peterlee, County Durham, and found a man threatening his ex-partner and her new boyfriend in full view of his child. As he tried to barricade himself into the house, the officers managed to wrestle the knife and a firearm from him and make the arrest.
