Southern Railway Ditches Toilets On New Trains From Brighton – Buffet Stays

by | 19th, September 2010

STOP Press: New carriages on Southern Railway will have no toilets.

If Ryanair did trains, eh…

Anyone wanting to sue the loo on the Portsmouth to Brighton service will either have to go before they travel or just piss in the carriage. It’s pretty disgusting, but on a happier note if you wazz or defecate on the empty chair next to you no–one will sit in it. Although, if they do sit in it willingly, you may be in worse trouble.

What says the train operator of the no loos on the Portsmouth to Brighton run that can take anything up to 90 minutes?

A Southern Railway spokeswoman looks at the positive, talking of a “refreshed interior“. There are new seats, new floors and better information.

And a buffet.

Here comes the drinks trolley now. What’ll it be – the figs and prune juice or the home-made apple juice and brownie..?
