IF they wanted to be famous, Cardiff men Gurukanth Desai, 28, Omar Sharif Latif, 26, Abdul Malik Miah, 24, from Cardiff, London’s Mohammed Moksudur Rahman Chowdhury, 20 (pictured), and Shah Mohammed Lutfar Rahman, 28, and Stoke-on-Trent’s Nazam Hussain, 25, Usman Khan, 19, Mohibur Rahman, 26, and Abul Bosher Mohammed Shahjahan, 26, all from Stoke-on-Trent picked a difficult time to hit the news agenda.

What with Arsenal, the weather and the sales, terror ranks just above bee keeping on the news cycle.

All has been arrested by counter-terrorism officers. All have been charged with conspiring to cause an explosion or explosions in the UK “of a nature likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property” between October 1 and November 20 this year.

The allegations include downloading and researching materials and methods, carrying out reconnaissance and agreeing potential targets, and igniting and testing incendiary material.
Typical teenage stuff, then…
