THE woman whose bum appeared on the bedroom walls of a generation of pre-Internet adolescents and students belongs to Fiona Walker. It is she on that Athena poster published in 1976.
At the time of her unveiling, Tennis girl was an 18-year-old Birmingham art student dating Martin Elliott, who persuaded her to pose. For reasons unspecified, Walker declines to relive her greatest moment, preferring to show us her face. Will the face break the photograph’s spell?
