Absinthe Now Legal In France: Fairy Liquids All Round

by | 5th, May 2011

ABSINTHE is now legal in France. After a ban of 100 years, you can drink the “green fairy”. The brew, containing grande wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), which features the delicious taste of thujone, can now be legally imbibed.

Says one Anorak reader:

A piece of good news at last..But I don’t think I can take another Absinthium style celebration…what with toasting the assassination of Osama Bin Liner & the wedding of Willy & Katie, I’m now down to my last bottle of Wild Green Fairy Liquid and am saving it for something really special – like the weekend.

“Bottoms up!” as frequent absinthe drinker Bin Laden used to say.

Drink absinthe. It never did anyone any harm. (Also kind on your hands.)
