Bearded Isle Of White Music Fan Impersonated Policewoman To Watch Kasabian

by | 29th, June 2011

KEEN as mustard to see Kasabian perform at the Isle of Wight festival, ticketless local man Daniel Tredinnick stole a policewoman’s uniform and gained entry.

Inside the compound, Tredinnick felt at one with the uniform and went to work. He broke up a brawl. He looked for a missing woman. He shot the breeze with senior officers. He used his skills as a trained first-aider to treat an injured music fan.

A mere two and half hours later, security spotted that the policewoman with no hat or tie was a man. When asked for ID, Tredinnick flashed a fake detective seargent’s badge.

To courth, then, where defending brief,  Keith Verrinder, says:

“It could be said he did no particular harm while dressed as a police officer. Strangely enough, he did more good than harm. He says now it was a very stupid thing to do. He felt it was childish and quite ridiculous but it seemed like a good idea at the time.”

Tredinnick scored a 16-week suspended sentence for stealing a police uniform and impersonating an officer.

You may now fully appreciate the above photo of the bearded Tredeinnick. You may also wonder if the police force is not a bastion of sexism, as many suppose, but rather a go-ahead workplace where women can be as nature intended…
