Angelina Jolie’s Celebrity Colonialism: A Video To Cherish

ANGELINA Jolie is not like you and me. She heads to far-flung exotic destinations to bring light and rare opportinities for tourism.

Poverty enables Jolie to feel good and look better. The Third World is a chance for Jolie to explore herself. Thanks Africa. Thanks Syria.  Thanks for being there.

For instance, when was the last time you and your Louis Vuitton monogrammed Alto bag found yourselves in a Cambodian swamp – with only the cameramen and invisible make-up artistes for company?

Says Jolie:

Sometimes the simple pleasures of life and not having very much tends to keep a family together in a way that I think we can learn from, that I certainly learn from . . . appreciate something very simple.

And that is the same Jolie who trigged a no fly zone over the not-too-cheap Burning Shore beach resort in Namibia (“the cradle of human kind“) when she gave birth to Shiloh, and scored a $10 million paycheck from Louis Vuitton for her humble endorsement of leather wallets…
