ARSENAL and Manchester United have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Roma defender Mehdi Benatia after the Italian club scrapped a proposed meeting with potential suitors Bayern Munich.

On August 26, the BBC had news:
German champions Bayern Munich have reached an agreement to sign Morocco defender Mehdi Benatia from Roma for an undisclosed fee.
Earlier the Star reported that Benatia was taying at Roma and heading to Chelsea. Sky Sports said he’d signed for Manchester United.
