Arsenal ‘bid’ £31m for Benzema and rule out move for Higuain

Arsenal remain keen on Real Madrid’s France striker Karim Benzema, writes the Mail, adding that “Arsenal do not expect to sign Karim Benzema this summer”.

The Telegraph says Arsenal have bid £31m for Karim Benzema.

The tabloid Tele knows his because it read the story in the Express.

The Express got its scoop of a £31.3million bid from beIN Sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri, who tweeted:

It’s all true the Arsenal bid for Benzema: 45m€. Real Madrid was initially open to talk, but now they have stopped everything

And as for signing Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, well, Arsene Wenger says that’s a non-starter. Higuain wants to leave the Italian side. He could have joined Arsenal in 2013 but Wenger thought him not worth the outlay.
