Former LA Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas said he would not be surprised if David Beckham did not to return to America after his loan with AC Milan. But Beckham’s spokesman Simon Oliveira insisted he would return to the Galaxy. He said: “Whilst we respect Alexi’s right to an opinion, he has not been party to any contractual discussions on the loan agreement to Milan. As David has said recently, he will be back in the US for 9 March and with LA Galaxy for the start of the MLS season.”
“I have expressed my desire to stay. Now it’s just down to Milan and Galaxy to come to an agreement. I have enjoyed my time here. I knew I would enjoy it but I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I have.”

Asked whether today’s game against FC Dallas in Carson would be his last with Los Angeles, Beckham responded almost tersely. “No, it won’t be,” he said. “I’ve made that clear. I’ve said that my commitment is still to the Galaxy, and that has not changed.”
