School’s Ban On Pencils And Other Weapons Of Mass Destruction

THE pencil is banned at North Brookfield Elementary School, MA.
Wendy Scott and Susan LaFlamme, two sixth-grade teachers, delivered a missive to parents detailing that all pencils are banned outside the classroom.
Any student found with a pencil “would be assumed to have the implement to build weapons”, or to have stolen it.
Thankfully, the threat has passed and pencils are now permitted, although the X-Rays and pat-downs may continue…
Incidentally, the school’s superintendent is called Gordon L. Noseworthy.
