Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha reports: “The definitive result of the tests leave no doubts for the Policia Judiciaria. The blood found in the McCanns’ car is that of Madeleine as well as those samples detected in the flat”
No doubt? So says a newspaper report that provides the basis to THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER’S lead story
Says McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell: “These reports are very distressing for Kate and Gerry, they are depressed that again wild rumour and speculation is being presented as fact. We wish Portuguese police would just get on with their investigation, come over to England and carry out the interviews with Kate and Gerry and their friends. All those interviews will prove, yet again, that Kate and Gerry have nothing to hide.
“As for the supposed DNA testing, we cannot comment on yet more unsubstantiated rampant speculation in the Portuguese press. It is ridiculous to suggest that Madeleine’s blood was in the hire car because she was never in it. It was hired more than 20 days after she went missing, which means it was impossible for her to have ever been in it”
A friend of the McCanns says: “They were in no way involved in her disappearance, reports like this just add to their anguish. We would also point out that low copy DNA is under review by police forces in this country following the outcome of the Omagh bombing trial”

Thank you for the detailed explanation re IP, etc. It never crossed my mind for a second that Anorak would ever give out such information. What bothered me was for those who preferred to stay unknown on here for whatever reasons were at risk. I don’t care as I don’t use a phony name but I do respect those who want total privacy in what they have to say.

An IP address will NOT tell you an email address. It will tell you where in the world that computer is located but even this information is not entirely accurate. For instance, yesterday at work I checked my own IP address. This showed that I was posting to Anorak from a computer located just outside Berne in Switzerland. The truth was I was sitting in an office in Wolverhampton, England. The reason for this discrepancy? I was connected to the internet via a Proxy Server.
An IP address does not reveal anything about the name of the person using that computer. Nor does it reveal email addresses
The only way DR Watson could know anyone’s email address on this site would be if they themselves had sent him an email or submitted to a comment to another web site/forum under his control
However, even if someone on Anorak has emailed Dr Watson (so that he now has their email address) that does not not necessarily provide information to enable poster to be identified. Many people use different email addresses with different names. For instance couples may share an email address, such as bobandjane@XXXXX.com. One of those may be posting to Anorak using an Alias such as ‘wee willie winkie‘. There is no way, even for Admin/Mods to know whether ‘wee willie winkie’ is actually Bob or Jane.
Rest assured, Admin/Mods do NOT reveal a posters personal details to anyone else. As I said before, the only way Dr Watson (or anyone else) could know your IP/email address would be because you sent them an email or submitted a comment to another web site that they control (a point appreciated by another Anorak regular who was at pains to make clear after DR Watson’s threat that he was not Dr Watson!)

Kate just shouted out the alarm then sat down to the task of being “frozen in a silent scream”. Innocent parents would have been rapidly reconstructing the evenings events and quizing everyone before shouting about an abduction. They would have called the local police to see if she’d been turned in by well-meaning strangers–but it’s insane to have called the Sky News in the UK before knowing what really went on!

As for what the McCanns should be concerned about, that in itself is a joke. The McCanns have been dictated by the PJ’S inept detective skills. How long has it taken the PJ to reinterview the McCanns? Do you not think the McCanns want this pathetic trial by media over so the focus can continue in the search for their daughter? They need their names cleared to gain back the confidence of the public in general. And without the public on their side, who’s going to support them? Where’s the money going to come from? These people have received over a £m from a kind and caring public, and 8 months on,and 4 months back in the UK despite desperate searches in N Europe , the US, the Vatican and Rothley they still haven’t found her.
And lets be honest when they were in Portugal where did they actually look? people desperate to find a child would sleep in tents, use the cheapest form of transport use everything they own to find her

Maybe you can explain to me and maybe others who do not prejudge ,then why the anti-mccanns are spending hours and hours day and night tearing apart their lives, smearing their names - I’m sorry I should say using satire - making some quite outrageous and nasty statements and speculations all in satire of course beyond the pale of how, when, where and why the young beautiful child managed to disappear? With all the concern they are showing for a child they didn’t lose, I’m surprised they haven’t all volunteered their time from the kindness and concern of their hearts for that young child and gone over to Portugal and spread out and covered other countries looking for the child or her remains to prove their theories.
