Russian gravestones are larger than life

WHEN you die in Russia, you get to live forever in a headstone seemingly modelled on a gun range target. Who were these people looming large in death? Because pretty much everyone successful in Russia looks like a hoodlum from a Donnie Brasco prequel, it’s hard to tell what job the dearly departed did in life. Gangster or politician? Or both:
