The ‘Guardian Class’ Want Video Games Rated For Sexism

violent-video-games
In light of “Gamergate”, Sweden’s “government-funded innovation agency” Vinnova are looking at rating video games by their “sexist” content.
The Local catches up with one Vinnova “manager” who “said it was unclear at this stage if all video games produced in Sweden would be given a label, or if companies developing games that promoted equality would be given some kind of certification to use for their own marketing purposes… Video games can help us to create more diverse workplaces and can even change the way we think about things.”
Job done. We think you’re an idiot who treats people who play video games as fools. These people who play video games will not grow up believing all women are sexually available 2D bimbos. Just as the elite tell us that football fans’ speech must be controlled lest they race riot, gamers do not need re-educating.
Every aspect of our lives is being politicised. Unwinding with a video game is now a moral issue. Escapism is not allowed. Where once the fearful right condemend video nasties, acid house and comic books, the authoritarian left is now commanding:

College Sex Modules: Univesity of Main Adopts The Nutzoid ‘Yes Means Yes’ Policy

Once upon a time college was fun and rebellious. Then it became about compliance, approval and crime… The University of Maine has adopted the ‘yes means yes’ consent policy:

Consent is agreement to engage in sexual contact. Consent must be informed, freely and actively given, and consist of a mutually agreeable and understandable exchange of words or actions. Consent is clear, knowing and voluntary. Consent is active, not passive. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Silence, in and of itself, cannot be interpreted as consent. Consent can be given by words or actions, as long as those words or actions create mutually understandable clear permission regarding willingness to engage in (and conditions of) sexual activity. Past consent does not imply future consent. Consent to engage in one form of sexual activity does not imply consent to engage
in any other sexual activity.

Consent to engage in sexual activity with one person does not imply consent to engage in sexual activity with any other person.

Any consent that is given is invalid or moot It is not consent when the exchange involves unwanted physical force, coercion, intimidation, and/or threats. If an individual is mentally or physically
incapacitated or impaired such that one cannot understand the fact, nature or extent of the sexual 7 situation, and the incapacitation or impairment is known or should be known to a reasonable person, there is no consent. This includes conditions resulting from alcohol or drug consumption, or being asleep or unconscious. Consent is not valid if the person is too young to consent to sexual activity under Maine law.

Westminster Paedophiles: The Elm Guest House, Vishal Mehrotra And Whispers

PA-1232849

THE Westminster Peadophile ring story continues to build:

The Times:

The detective who led the investigation into Britain’s most notorious child abusers said its files could provide evidence for Scotland Yard’s investigation of an alleged Westminster paedophile ring. Roger Stoodley said he would be delighted if the Metropolitan police were to reopen Operation Orchid, the inquiry into the Sidney Cooke gang, which abducted, abused and murdered children in the 1970s and 1980s.

Free Speech: Timothy Stanley On The Death Of Thinking At Oxford University

WHEN the Oxford University’s compliant, scared, iliberal wimps and bigots censored an abotion debate, anyone sane should have noted that “Free speech is under assault on campus”. Tim Stanley was one of the speakers who was shut down by the unenlightend, ignorant mob.

He writes:

…someone was outraged that we dared to discuss this issue at all. A protest group of around 300 people called “What the f**k is ‘Abortion Culture’?” appeared on Facebook that promised to “take along some non-destructive but oh so disruptive instruments to help demonstrate to the anti-choicers just what we think of their ‘debate’.” We were guilty of promoting “really sh*tty anti-choice rhetoric and probs some cissexism.” The foul language indicates how sophisticated the protesters were, while the accusation of cissexism had me reaching for my online urban dictionary. Was I being called a sissy by homophobic feminists? Mais non. Apparently a “cis” is someone who identifies with the same gender that they were born with. So that’s a thing now.

The university’s students’ union also issued a statement that took aim at Brendan O’Neill and me for being so offensively attached to our God-given genitals: “The Women’s Campaign (WomCam) condemn SFL for holding this debate. It is absurd to think we should be listening to two cisgender men debate about what people with uteruses should be doing with their bodies.” Next, the Christ Church Junior Common Room (posh talk for “the committee that run the students’ bar”) passed a motion asking their college to decline to room the debate. Eventually, the college caved-in on the grounds that, “there was insufficient time between today and tomorrow to address some concerns they had about the meeting”. The pro-life society tried to find an alternative venue but everyone else said “no”. I believe that two colleges agreed only to later rescind their invitations…

What it also proved is that elements of the Left are working hard to define new parameters for freedom of speech. You are free to speak so long as it doesn’t offend certain sensibilities, which of course amounts to no real freedom at all.

THE murders of four praying Jews and a Druze policeman in Jerusalem would be a massacre, or the work of seriel killers. The two men who armed themselves with an axe, knives and a pistol to slaughter Jews in a synagogue would be presented as being dangerous, mentally negligible nutjobs, like the killers of drummer Lee Rigby. But this is Israel. The rules are changed.

College Sex Attacks And Prohibition

COLLEGE sex and Prohibition:

“A vast majority of college women’s rape claims involve alcohol. Not long ago, 18-year-olds in many states could drink legally. College-sponsored events could openly involve a keg, with security officers on hand to ensure that things didn’t get out of hand. Since 1984, when the federal government compelled states to adopt a drinking age of 21, college alcohol policies have been a mockery. Prohibition has driven alcohol into private spaces and house parties, with schools largely turning a blind eye.”

Exaro, The BBC And The People Are Killing Justice For A Paedophile Murder Story

PA-12029092

THE fall out from the Mirror’s report on alleged peadophiles is that fingers are being pointed with no proof. Compensation-seeking lawyers, police PRs, self-serving politicians and anyone looking for a whistleblower to prove all the conspiracies true are circumventing justice to prove their settled conclusion: peados did abuse and even murder children in 1980s Westminster.

Maybe it is true. But what about the facts?

Barrister Blogger has more:

The scene was set yesterday when the BBC decided to join Exaro News in broadcasting an interview with a man in his 40s known as “Nick” who alleges that he was repeatedly raped by Conservative MPs and other “VIPs” in the 1970s and 80s. Nick, it is said, is grateful to Exaro News and to his counsellor for “allowing” him to tell his story in public, and wants to encourage others to go, as he has now gone, to the police to corroborate his account. According to the BBC he has been “in counselling on and off since he was in his twenties” and has only now “found the strength to come forward.” There was no mention in the BBC interview of any murder and Exaro have never previously revealed that Nick witnessed a murder.

Mark Watts the Exaro interviewer suggests “a lot of people will find your account hard to believe,” but that does not mean that Nick is lying. Nevertheless Exaro, and now the BBC, have acted extremely unwisely by catapulting him into the public domain.

Both the BBC’s interview, and even more so Exaro’s, go into considerable detail about the alleged abuse. We are told, for example, how Nick and other children would be driven to Dolpin Square where sex parties were held. They would be made to dance and sing, before being sexually abused by a group including MPs, “an ex-Cabinet Minister,” and other “powerful people.” Nick says that he was repeatedly raped while his head was held under water in a bath, and on a number of occasions he nearly drowned. Boys were injured, and a doctor, he says, was part of the group to treat these injuries. It was, indeed, a paedophile ring.

The first effect of broadcasting Nick’s detailed allegations is that anybody wishing to make a false allegation has now been given not just rumours, which in truth have been flying around on the internet for years, but a detailed and apparently first-hand description of exactly how another witness says the abuse took place. This, of course, flies in the face of good policing practice in which the account of one witness is never given to other potential witnesses precisely because of the danger of contamination. It is true that neither Exaro nor the BBC has actually given the names of the alleged abusers but 5 minutes on the internet would supply a selection of Tory MPs and cabinet ministers about whom rumours have swirled. Most of those who were cabinet ministers in Mrs Thatcher’s first administration are now dead, so the tidbit that the Minister in question is still alive narrows the field to about 10 suspects.

In any case involving multiple complainants the defence always strives hard to show that the complainants may have colluded with each other, or at least that later complainants knew of the substance of an earlier complaint, while the prosecution tries to show that such collusion or awareness is unlikely. Well, Exaro and the BBC together have comprehensively ensured that any future complainant will be aware of the detail of Nick’s complaint and his evidence will for that reason be devalued. In a nutshell, if a future witness relates similar details to Nick’s he will be accused of having learnt them from the BBC and Exaro interviews. It is on such issues that cases turn.

More here.

Christians And Muslims Fight For Right To Murder For Their Beliefs

ARE we outraged that Christians are being persecuted?

Melanie Phillips in the Times:

Barbaric assaults on religious liberty are greeted in the West with an embarrassed silence. Canon Andrew White is one of the bravest people I know. For nine years this former Middle East envoy for the Archbishop of Canterbury, who has played a key role in freeing hostages in the region, has been the vicar of St George’s church in Baghdad.

As such, he has been the emblem and body-armoured defender of Iraq’s Christian community, which has been under murderous assault in the wars that have engulfed Iraq since the fall of Saddam Hussein.
A few days ago, at a conference I chaired in Jerusalem, Canon White told me that the Archbishop of Canterbury has now forbidden him to return to his church in its heavily barricaded compound. Given the advance towards Baghdad of Islamic State (Isis) — which has now murdered a fifth hostage, the American Peter Kassig — it is simply too dangerous even for him.

More than 1,200 members of his congregation and several of his staff have been murdered in the past few years. His flock has dwindled from 6,500 to 1,000 today, including the six remaining Jews in Iraq, who have lived under his personal protection.

What is happening is a tragedy of extraordinary, historic proportions. In the place where Abraham was born, most of the 135,000-strong, three millennia-old Jewish community was forced to flee several decades ago. Now it seems that Christianity is about to be wiped out in a land where it has been cradled for more than 2,000 years.

Oxford University Abortion Debate Cancelled Because Protests And Cowards

THE CENSORS won! An Oxford University debate between Brendan O’Neill and Tim Stanley on ‘abortion culture’ is cancelled. Ther would be protests. And that was no good. Christ Church JCR Treasurer, Will Neaverson tells Cherwell:

“I’m relieved the Censors have made this decision. It clearly makes the most sense for the safety – both physical and mental – of the students who live and work in Christ Church. I’m glad the views of the GM were well represented and well received.”

Devon Man Guilty Of Possessing 9 Pence Worth Of Cannabis

Screen shot 2014-11-18 at 07.43.30

TO North Devon Magistrates’s court, where Christopher Saunders, is answering the charge of being in with possession of nine pence worth of cannabis, roughly 0.09 grams of prohibited drugs.

Tim Hook for the defence, argues:

“If I close one’s eyes and try to imagine nine hundredths of a gram it is a very difficult thing to fasten your mind on. I think it is a quantity that is barely capable of measurement… I am staggeringly surprised it couldn’t have been dealt with by way of a caution at the police station, when so many things are.”

Mr Saunders pleads guilty. He is awarded a conditional discharge.

Free Speech Abort! Oxford University Students Run Scared Of Abortion Debate

oxford students for life

BRENDAN O’Neill and Timothy Stanley are going to debate abortion at Oxford Students for Life’s Abortion Culture debate. Or are they? Cherwell, the independent student newspaper of Oxford University, has news:

A controversial debate on abortion planned to be held at Christ Church by Oxford Students for Life (OSFL) has attracted widespread student criticism, with the College’s JCR voting to inform college Censors about the mental and physical security issues surrounding the debate.

Mental security? Colleges ought to be beacons of free inquiry. Is the allegation that listening to O’Neill and Stanley will render you unhinged? These melon twisters might make you think, and that would be just awful.

Jimmy Savile And The Married Bisexual Monk And Convicted Child Abuser Who Fixed Clocks For Kids

harding savile

DID you see the convicted child abuser on Jim’ll Fix It, the Jimmy Savile BBC show whereon the twice-over knight (papal and regal) made kids’ wishes come true? Of course the biggest wish he saved for later when he dropped dead.

The peado wasn’t just Jimmy. He’s only an alleged one. This other padon was an actual proven nonce. As the Telegraph reports:

A young girl was “set up” to appear on Jim’ll Fix It alongside a convicted child abuser, the BBC has reported.

Was she set up because he was a young girl?

Confidential social services reports confirm that Keith Harding, an antiques expert who appeared on the 1980 Christmas edition of the show, was involved with the notorious campaign group, the Paedophile Information Exchange (Pie), according to the Radio 4’s Today programme. It said that Harding was convicted of indecent assault against four children aged eight and nine in the late 1950s and was a “schedule 1” offender – meaning his convictions remained on his police file for life.

However he was subsequently given the Freedom of the City of London and became a member of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, as well as running a museum regularly visited by children.
