Soldier Killed In Aghanistan As Life-Saving Ridgebacks Gather Dust In Dubai

7639570IN “Trucking Outrage”, the Sun leads with news that a member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers has been killed in Afghanistan.

He was in a CVRT – a 30-year-old tracked mini tank that is vulnerable to Taliban roadside bombs. Meanwhile, a fleet of new mine-proof Ridgback trucks had been sitting on an airfield in the Middle East since July 16.

Three 18 Year Old Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

jonathan-horne-28-william-aldridge-18-joseph-murphy-18-daniel-simpson-20-james-blackhouse-18-and-lee-scott-26LAST Friday Corporal Jonathan Horne, Rifleman William Aldridge, Rifleman James Backhouse, Rifleman Joseph Murphy, Rifleman Daniel Simpson and Corporal Lee Scott of The 2nd Royal Tank Regiment were killed in Afghanistan.

Rifleman Murphy, from Castle Bromwich, West Midlands, Rifleman Aldridge, from Bromyard, Herefordshire, and Rifleman Backhouse, from Castleford, West Yorkshire, were aged just 18.

whya re they dead?

A senior officer says: ‘I regard the losses of the past fortnight as a wake-up call to the Government. If we are going to fight this war as it needs to be fought, we need a properly-resourced army. We also need the Prime Minister and the Cabinet to explain to the British people, as they have never convincingly t”ied to do, why we are in Afghanistan and what we are trying to do there.”

Remember The British Troops In Afghanistan

Afghan Women Remove Viagra Burkas As Men Bite The Magic Bullet

ANORAK has long believed that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are peopled by men who don’t get enough sex.

The Washington Post reports on goings on Afghanistan:

“Take one of these. You’ll love it,” the officer said. “Compliments of Uncle Sam.”

The enticement worked. The officer, who described the encounter, returned four days later to an enthusiastic reception. The grinning chief offered up a bonanza of information about Taliban movements and supply routes – followed by a request for more pills.

Sun Seeks To Drive Afghan Refugees From Home

A WIN for the Sun as Toorpakai Saindi and her seven children are to be kicked out of their home.

The Sun says the home in Acton, West London, is worth £1.2milion – and falling in value all the time. The single mum gets the “equivalent of £170,000 a year from the taxpayer”.

The paper makes no mention of why Ms Toorpakai moved to the UK, only that she was placed in the home because the council had a shortage of alternative accommodation.

Soldier Ant: Ant And Dec Fight In Afghanistan

DECLAN Donnelly and Ant McPartlin are in Afghanistan.

While the enemy has boy soldiers, we have soldiers who look like toddlers. The Mirror leads with news that both are under attack.

The tots are in the war zone on the pretext of presenting our squaddies with Daily Mirror Pride of Britain awards, plastic medallions featuring the faces of EastEnders Mitchell brothers and the legend: “REAL NEWS… REAL ENTERTAINMENT, 40p.”
