Full Text Of Daniel Hannan’s Speech To Gordon Brown

DANIEL Hannan on the internet – which has made him a star:

The internet has changed politics – changed it utterly and forever. Twenty-four hours ago, I made a three-minute speech in the European Parliament, aimed at Gordon Brown. I tipped off the BBC and some of the newspaper correspondents but, unsurprisingly, they ignored me: I am, after all, simply a backbench MEP. When I woke up this morning, my phone was clogged with texts, my email inbox with messages. Overnight, the YouTube clip of my remarks had attracted over 36,000 hits. By today, it was the most watched video in Britain.

How did it happen, in the absence of any media coverage? The answer is that political reporters no longer get to decide what’s news.

Obama For Very Gradual Change

OBAMA for very gradual change we can believe in…

Mark Steyn:

In turbulent times, it’s good to know some things never change. After a week in which President Obama thanked himself for inviting him to the White House, compared AIG executives to suicide bombers, and did the first Presidential retard joke on national TV, I was impressed to find that Slate is bravely keeping up its Bushism Of The Day feature.

Obama’s Video Message To North Korea

BARACK Obama makes an appeal to Iran, and follows that up by forming an alliance with North Korea – the Smokers’ Axis is in the making:

From the office of his supreme excellency and much-taller-than-he-looks in pictures Kim Jong-il:

“He also gave on-the-spot guidance to the Hoeryong Taesong Cigarette Factory….Seeing varieties of cigarettes being churned out from each machine and workshops kept neat and tidy, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the interior and exterior of the factory are spruced up in a hygienic and cultured manner and quality cigarettes are mass-produced thanks to the successful maintenance of its equipment and technical control. He advanced tasks to be carried out by the factory, calling on it to keep the cigarette production going at a high rate and further improve its quality.

Let’s hear it for smokers!

MICHIGAN’S Kolan McConiughey, a spazbama and the led US bowler for the Special Olympics says he can whip Obama at his sport:

Obama Replaces Terrorism With Man-Caused Disasters

BARACK Obama has won the war on Terror. He and Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, are now engaged in altogher trickier war: the war on the mind:

SPIEGEL: Madame Secretary, in your first testimony to the US Congress as Homeland Security Secretary you never mentioned the word “terrorism.” Does Islamist terrorism suddenly no longer pose a threat to your country?

Napolitano: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word “terrorism,” I referred to “man-caused” disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.

Obama’s DVDs Don’t Work On Brown’s Player

BARACK Obama gives Gordon Brown a 25-stong DVD collection, a library, if you will. One day Obama hopes to lend his name to a big congressional DVD library. Gordon hopes to have a part as an extra in Obama: The Movie (over 18s version (starring sexy Michelle Obama)- and/or with subtitles).

We catch up with Gordon as he turns off Ben 10 and places Psycho in the player:

Obama’s Teleprompter Higher Approval Rating Then Obama

THEY say the best way to reach Barack Obama is via his telepromter., which is enjoying a two point approval raing highter than Obama.

Tim Blair wonders if we’ve heard the one about the President, an Irishman, and a teleprompter?

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just given …

Repeat. Recite. And commit to memory. We are all Obamas now:

Cowen was 20 seconds into his second address when it dawned on him that he was giving word for word the speech that Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Live Iranian TV Show Cancelled As Child Names Stuffed Monkey Ahmadinejad

GEORGE Bush was a monkey, here, here, here, here, here and here. Barack Obama has been a monkey. And Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, atomic leader of all the Irans, well he might be a monkey yet:

When the presenter of Amoo Pourang, a programme watched by millions of Iranian children three times a week on state TV, asked the name of the toy the boy had been given as a reward for behaving himself, the child replied: “Well, my father calls him Ahmadinejad.”

Dear Gordon: Relationship Advice From Barack Obama

HAVING given Gordon Brown the gift of accepting gifts graciously, Iowahawk explains how Barack Obama is now teaching us the gift of giving:

Dear Barry:

I’ve had a bit of a bad luck patch over the last month (losing my job, watching my 401k completely disintegrate, etc., etc.) and ended up relocating from a high rise in Lincoln Park to a new neighborhood along the Fullerton underpass on the Kennedy Expressway. I was a bit worried about the move at first, but my new neighbors have been great. In fact on move-in day they greeted me with a grocery cart “welcome wagon” containing some lovely and practical gifts like cans of Sterno, cardboard, fortified wine, and a hypo-allergenic harmonica. I would like to show my appreciation with thoughtful “thank you” gifts. Can you recommend something nice that won’t break my budget ($3.00 total for 6 gifts)? Please help!

Barack Obama Is Red And Grey And Black And White And Not That Keen On Brown

IN the IHT, President Barack is said to have “chided his attorney general, Eric Holder Jr., for describing America as a ‘nation of cowards’ when discussing race, wading into a tumult that flared over Holder’s indictment of the way this country talks about ethnicity.”

Obama is the leader of post-racial American. He is of no determinate colour, but if pushed some would say he is grey, or red.

Hillary Clinton’s Launch Date with George Bush

HILLARY Clinton tries to tell a joke (in Russian!) and at once looks Hill-arious (geddit?). Hillary follows up her ad lib session with Russia with a launch date with Obama.

Ooops! Sorry, a lunch date. Here’s the Hilly Billy:

I have never understood multiparty democracy. It is hard enough with two parties to come to any resolution, and I say this very respectfully, because I feel the same way about our own democracy, which has been around a lot longer than European democracy.

Barack Obama’s Gift Selection Box And Clinton’s A Card

FINDING things made in America to give foreign politicos is proving a tricky business for Team Obama.

First Obama gives Gordon Brown a collection of DVDs, of the type sold on carousel racks in charity shops by the used board games and nearly-new toilet paper, then Hillary Clinton gives her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov a mock “reset” button, symbolising US hopes to mend damaged ties with Moscow.
