Sentence for woman who wrapped boyfriend’s penis in red-hot hair straighteners
Bronwyn Joy Parker, 22, pleads guilty to recklessly causing serious harm to her lover’s penis by burning it with hair straighteners.
The boyfriend suffered third degree burns to each side of his bellend at her home in Mount Barker, South Australia.
District Court Judge Paul Muscat said Parker’s crime was one of the “most unusual” he had encountered during his time in court. “In short, his penis will be scarred for life and he will suffer from a number of issues, including the proper function of his penis, not to mention the cosmetic and psychological problems associated with the scarring to such a sensitive site,” Judge Muscat added.
The branding was triggered by Parker’s jealousy – and a promise that if he cheated, there would be a punishment. As Muscat notes:
“You regularly abused him, including physically, if you suspected, or, if he admitted to being unfaithful to you. You were particularly jealous of his association with his ex-girlfriend… He was unfaithful to you and had spent two nights with his ex-girlfriend and had sex with her. When you found out about that, you reminded him of his promise to you. He asked you ‘What about it?’ referring to the promise he had previously made. You told him to remove his penis from his shorts, which he did. He said that you could ‘tap it’ with the straighteners after he removed his penis, after you said that you were not going to burn his testicles…
“You took his penis in your hand and then, with the other, you placed the straighteners on either side of the shaft of his penis before squeezing them momentarily. I need not here say anything of the pain and shock which he then experienced.”
Says Parker:
“To start off with, it looked brown around the outside and it didn’t look too bad, it just looked as if you had cooked a piece of meat.”
Judge Muscat sentenced Parker to nine months’ jail but suspended that sentence upon her entering an 18-month good behaviour bond.

Lisa Borch: sexualising the underage, evil, blonde, angelic killer
Lisa Borch, 15, and Bakhtiar Mohammed Abdulla, 29, murdered the teenager’s mother Tina Holtegaard at the family home in rural Denmark. Abdullah, who met Borch at the a refugee centre near to her home, will serve 13 years before being deported. She’s been sentenced to nine years prison.
Borch’s stepfather tells Danish tab newspaper Ekstra Bladet:
“She is likely to develop into a very dangerous person in prison. She needs help and professional treatment. But there is, unfortunately, no prospect for that.”
Borch’s first boyfriend was from the same refugee centre. He left her for his wife and children in Sweden. Borch’s step-father refers to him in comments he made to Denmark’s BT paper:
“There is no doubt that she was in very bad company when she began to hang out with him. He affected her negatively. It was when she was with him, that she began to take an interest in IS (Isil). He has somehow radicalised her, and I think that’s where you have to find a large part of the explanation of why we are where we are today.”
The Sun says it’s too late, branding Borch ‘evil’:
Evil Lisa Borch, 15, knifed Tina Holtegaard 20 times after spending hours watching sick footage of Jihadi John kill David Haines and Alan Henning with her Iraqi refugee boyfriend Bakhtiar Mohammed Abdulla.
The Mirror emphasises the British angle:
The ISIS-obsessed 15-year-old girl murdered her mum with kitchen knife after watching Jihadi John behead British hostages online.
Why persist in calling a killer by a pet name? Three times the Mirror refers to ‘Jihadi John’ – not once using his actual name: Mohammed Emwazi.
The Independent looks at a different angle:
Lisa’s twin sister told the court she had previously moved out of the family house due to the constant arguing between Borch and her mother.
The court heard it was “the endless rowing which cost the mother her life” and that the majority of their arguments concerned Borch and Abdullah’s relationship.
Over in the Daily Mail, the key fact about Borch is not her young age, her apparent ‘evil’, her older lover nor her habit of watching snuff movies; it’s the fact she’s the “blonde”.
Is the shock that a blonde can be a murderer? Isn’t calling a 15-year-old “the blonde” sexualising her? The Telegraph says she’s but a “girl”.

More on Jeremy Corbyn and the Jews is a rambling column from Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. The headline comes in the form of an order:

What about the lazy and amoral Jews? Is Corbyn being over picky in selecting his Jews?
Is Jeremy Corbyn the enemy of Israel and British Jews? That is what the The Jewish Chronicle, some MPs and various sections of the media would have us believe. It is an accusation that is both absurd and menacing. The right, Blairites and hard Zionists have formed the most unholy of alliances to slay the reputation of the next likely leader of the Labour Party.
The Jewish Chronicle has not labelled Corbyn a racist. What it said was:
…although there is no direct evidence that he has an issue himself with Jews, there is overwhelming evidence of his association with, support for — and even in one case, alleged funding of — Holocaust deniers, terrorists and some outright antisemites.
Alan Johnson MP has also highlighted a few of Corbyn’s associates.
You can read some of words said against Corbyn here. You can read of people he has addressed as “friends“. Not all of his friends are “ethical Jews”. He’s very much the social mixer.
What evidence have his detractors produced to “prove” that he is anti-Semitic?
No, the JC has not proven anything. It asked questions:
The JC rarely claims to speak for anyone other than ourselves. We are just a newspaper. But in this rare instance we are certain that we speak for the vast majority of British Jews in expressing deep foreboding at the prospect of Mr Corbyn’s election as Labour leader… If Mr Corbyn is not to be regarded from the day of his election as an enemy of Britain’s Jewish community, he has a number of questions which he must answer in full and immediately. The JC asked him earlier this week to respond. No response has been forthcoming.
1. Did you donate, as alleged by its founder, to Deir Yassin Remembered (DYR), a group that publishes open antisemitism, run by Holocaust denier Paul Eisen — an organisation so extreme that even the Palestine Solidarity Campaign refuses to associate with it?
4. Why did you write to the Church of England authorities to defend Rev Stephen Sizer, a vicar banned from social media because of his habit of posting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, telling them that Rev Sizer was “under attack” because he had “dared to speak out over Zionism”?
5. Why do you associate with Hamas and Hezbollah and refer to them as your “friends”?
7. Why did you describe Raead Salah, a man convicted of the blood libel, as an ‘honoured citizen’?
No “proof” has been offered. It’s not a witch-hunt. But questions have been asked. Words do matter. Yasmin Alibhai-Brown should know that. When she commented on a LibDem peer she noted:
Baroness Jenny Tonge is savaged by Zionists and her own party for saying that nation “is not going to be there forever in its present form”.
What Tonge actually said was:
“Beware Israel. Israel is not going to be there for ever in its present form. One day, the United States of America will get sick of giving £70bn a year to Israel to support what I call America’s aircraft carrier in the Middle East – that is Israel. One day, the American people are going to say to the Israel lobby in the USA: enough is enough… Israel will lose support and then they will reap what they have sown.”
(Other words from Tonge produce a context: “The pro-Israeli lobby has got its grips on the western world, its financial grips. I think they’ve probably got a grip on our party.”)
As Howard Jacobson puts it:
Magnanimity is by definition unilateral, but it takes two for it to be more than a suicidal gesture. And the question has to be asked whether a Jewish state, however magnanimous and conciliatory, will ever be accepted in the Middle East.
So much for the words. Brown adds:
That he has appeared on Press TV, the Iranian-funded station? Well, until late 2009, the Telegraph journalist Andrew Gilligan presented a fortnightly programme on that channel. Is Gilligan therefore also a Jew-hater? Of course not. Next: Corbyn shared a platform with Carlos Latuff, the Brazilian-Arab cartoonist who condemned Israel’s oppressive policies in Palestine.
The Simon Wiesenthal Centre has declared Latuff anti-Semitic but Eddy Portnoy, writing in the Jewish daily Forward, claims he is a “furious” critic of the state of Israel, not an anti-Semite. So no consensus there.
Who knew that not all Jews agreed on everything? What we don’t get to know is what Yasmin Alibhai-Brown thinks of the cartoons?
As for sharing spaces: many of us speak at conferences where some speakers turn out to have nasty views about various ethnic and religious groups. That is the complex and argumentative world we live in. To talk to those we violently disagree with is surely an obligation.
The Guardian’s Ian Black accuses Latuff of “drawing, without inhibition, on judeophobic stereotypes in the service of the anti-globalisation movement.”
“Some of the people Corbyn has been closest to are conscientious and ethical British Jews. The late Mike Marqusee, a Marxist, New York secular Jew who migrated to the UK, was his friend. So, too, is Ken Loach, a liberal British Jew and fierce defender of Palestinian rights.”
Ken Loach is Jewish?!
Richard Millett:
At a meeting she chaired in 2012, in which the ex-BBC journalist Tim Llewlynn claimed that “Zionists are scattered at strategic points throughout British business”, Alibhai-Brown told the audience that Professor Hugh Blaschko had complained to her that “Israel will bring the worst out in us Jewish people.”
It’s a shame that Alibhai-Brown attaches so much respect to the likes of Marqusee, Loach and Blaschko by dint of their Jewishness. Is she really saying that Jews supportive of Israel, the vast majority, are unethical? That’s the sad implication from someone who should be concerned with racial harmony considering her forced flight from her homeland of Uganda.
And no Jew has a problem with Loach for being “a fierce defender of Palestinian rights”. The problem Jews have with Loach is that, just like Jeremy Corbyn, he seems to want the only Jewish state finished, destroyed, dead. Most reasonable people don’t see that as a “conscientious and ethical” position.
As for Corbyn, Forward writes:
Jeremy Corbyn, was unable to respond to questions from the Forward in time for this article. Previously, Corbyn has said that he has “no recollection” of donating to Deir Yassin Remembered and that Eisen’s “position on the Holocaust is wrong and reprehensible.” As for referring to Hamas and Hezbollah as ‘friends’ and Salah as a ‘very honored citizen,’ this was “diplomatic language in the context of dialogue, not an endorsement of a particular set of views.”
Such are the facts.

Two topless Femen activists interrupted a speech by two imams at the Muslim Salon in Pontoise, France.
The women, who were of Algerian and Tunisian origin, bared slogan on their chests: “No one will submit me” and I am my own prophet.”
The local says the women were punched.
Femen say:
“Two FEMEN activists came today to spoil the big party of the slave market to denounce this femmophobie -without amalgams. Our jihadists topless appeared on the rostrum before Nader Abu Anas and Mehdi Kabir, misogynistic disciples of Allah, to shout loudly “Nobody submits me, nobody owns me, I’m my own prophet.”

In an “EXCLUSIVE” By Tom Newton Dunn, Political Editor of the Sun, we read the most worrying story about Jeremy Corbyn:
Jeremy Corbyn is to appoint a special Minister for Jews
Anyone else feel a chill run down their spine on hearing that? As one reader puts it: “Corbyn wants a Judenrat.”
The Jewish Chronicle hears the same rumour that the Jews are to be handled as a separate group to the rest. (That paper also notes that Corbyn might go for a Minister for Muslims.)
Dunn adds:
The 66-year-old new Labour boss was hit by a barrage of criticism during the leadership campaign when his past links to extremists who hate Israel emerged.
Mr Corbyn has shared platforms in the past with Middle East terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah.
And as The Sun revealed last month, he also invited Lebanese fanatic Dyab Abou Jahjah into the Commons who published sickening anti-Jewish cartoons and branded gay people “Aids spreading faggots”.
Alan Johnson highlights a few of Jeremy’s associates:
Why don’t you challenge your ‘friends in Hamas’ about the inclusion in their Charter of this canonical Hadith: ‘The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’
And why are Hezbollah your friends? They are an antisemitic Islamist goose-stepping ‘Party of God’ who persecute (and assassinate) liberals and democrats in Lebanon whenever they can. The Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said ‘If Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.’

Why did you lend your support to Raed Salah? No, he is not a ‘critic of Israel’, but a straight-up Jew hater.
You said in 2012, ‘Salah is far from a dangerous man’, even though the left-wing, anti-Netanyahu Israeli newspaper of record, Ha’aretz, reported that Salah was first charged with inciting anti-Jewish racism and violence in January 2008.
You said ‘Salah is a very honoured citizen’, even though Salah was found guilty of spreading the blood libel – the classic antisemitic slander that Jews use the blood of gentile children to make their bread.
But Jeremy Corbyn’s a true friend of the Jews, says “a source close to Mr Corbyn”:
“Jeremy is not anti-Semitic in any way, but he knows his former associations have been problematic. He wants to solve this and a position for Jewish people and minorities is a good way to do that.”
No. It is not. But it kicks away doubt. You Jews not like the rest. You are different. You need a different minster. You are the alien race. You are not like the British.
It is deeply sinister. It points at the Jews and marks them for special treatment. It says you are ‘The Other’. You are a ‘special’ case. You are not of us. It is utterly chilling.
So who will be the Judenrat?
Mr Corbyn, who is said to want a Jewish MP to do the job, may also struggle to persuade anyone senior to take it up. The two most prominent Jewish Labour MPs, Ivan Lewis and Luciana Berger, are both public critics of him.
Jews know the codes. They’ve grown up with them. Lewis and Berger are not fools. They won’t take the poisonous job.
Lewis has spoken out:
“Some of his stated political views are a cause for serious concern. At the very least he has shown very poor judgment in expressing support for and failing to speak out against people who have engaged not in legitimate criticism of Israeli governments but in antisemitic rhetoric. It saddens me to have to say to some on the left of British politics that anti-racism means zero tolerance of antisemitism, no ifs, and no buts. I have said the same about Islamophobia and other forms of racism to a minority of my constituents who make unacceptable statements.”

Eunice Spry: ‘most evil’ women in the country beats Rose West and thanks Jehovah
The Sun loves a league table. Today we learn that the “UK’s most evil mum” is Eunice Spry, a hideous woman who tortured foster children in her care. Spry, the paper adds, is also “BRITAIN’S most sadistic mum”.
Spry’s in the news because she’s been spotted ‘enjoying’ a trip to the shops. Having served half her 14-year prison term for her depraved crimes, “Jehovah’s Witness Spry, 71” was out in “a blue overcoat, thick glasses and dyed hair”.
What her belief has to do with her crimes might cause readers to wonder. Mass murderer Harold Shipman was never “Christian Harold Shipman”, Fred West was not “baptized Christian Fred West” and we never got to know about terrifying paedophile Sydney Cook’s spiritual leanings, much less his sense of fashion.
Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board Serious Case Review of Eunice Spry includes only one mention of her beliefs:
Mrs Spry’s first application to become a foster parent in 1983/4 was declined because she was a Jehovah’s Witness and it was felt that this lifestyle would not accommodate being a foster parent. These objections were removed and she was approved as a local authority foster carer from 1885 until 1994.
You might read that and the Sun’s comment and conclude that being a Jehovah’s Witness is not conducive to being a good carer.
The Sun adds:
Sources say Spry has since moved from the Birmingham hostel and been rehoused in the Midlands. She has been travelling on buses and worshipping with Jehovah’s Witnesses unaware of her crimes.
A repugnant woman is living in a bail hostel. As for Spry being the most evil woman in the country, well, serial rapist, mass murderer and not-a-Jehovah’s Witness Rose West might be pleased with her demotion?
‘Simon’s Pen’: worker received these 10 fantastic formal complaints in 6 months
David Thorne wasn’t getting along with Simon, his co-worker. A row escalated after David took Simon’s Pen which had “Simon’s Pen” written on the side.
My very first run in with Simon was when he blamed me for stealing pens from his desk, which I vehemently denied. He then proceeded to point out the tiny engraved words ‘Simon’s Pen’ he had done on all eight of the pens currently on my desk. It was so small he had to point them out to me with the aid of a loupe. Each two-millimetre high letter was meticulous. When I asked how he had managed to get the letters so perfect, he told me that he had a headset at home with a light and magnifying glass on it. When I asked why he had a headset with light and magnifying glass on it he replied, “For painting collector figurines.”
There have actually been twelve formal complaints by Simon against me but two of those were complaining that nothing had been done about the previous formal complaints so I didn’t bother scanning those in.

Spout of order: brass beats plastic after Fountain of Abundance protests
When the brass tap affixed to the Fountain of Abundance in Pompeii was replaced with a plastic one, there were complaints.
People said the plastic one was not in keeping with a 2000-year-old sculpture dispensing water through its face. A brass one is so much more fitting. So it’s back. The ancient sculpture now looks much more impressive. It is very probably the smartest facade on the street.

Watch: scientist hasn’t washed for 12 Years uses bacteria to ‘stay’ clean
American scientist Dave Whitlock says:
“No one did clinical trials on people taking showers every day. I have not taken a shower in 12 years.”

….In fact, he says that the chemicals in our soaps and shampoos have destroyed all the friendly bacteria that once inhabited our skin and kept us clean.
Whitlock first started thinking about good bacteria when a woman he was dating asked him why horses liked to roll around in the dirt during summer.

Police in Delaware arrested Henry ‘Hank’ Wojnisz, 31, for allegedly selling heroin. He was carrying a young child when he was spotted. Police says the suspect urinated on himself before they discovered 92 bags of heroin (1.38g) labeled “Lacoste” and 12 doses of Suboxone in his possession.
Wojnisz has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, recklessly/likely to cause injury, resisting arrest and other related offences.
He then posed for this great mug shot.

Liverpool fan wins £4000 compensation for police-induced Manchester United toilet trauma
Liverpool fans Kieth Culvin (correct spelling) has been awarded £4,000 after suing Greater Manchester Police over a false arrest claim. In 2013, Culvin was at Old Trafford to watch Liverpool take on Manchester United.
After the match, police held back the Liverpool fans, treating them as criminals without any crime having been committed. Culvin needed the toilet. As an adult who paid his way to watch the match, he expected to be able to visit the little boy’s room. But having raised his hand and asked permission, the police told him to wait.
This was despite an agreement between supporters’ group The Spirit of Shankly and the GMP that the loos would be available for Reds’ fans kept in the stadium after the final whistle. Culvin claimed he was negotiating with the police at the time when a local copper took a tumble near him, leading the authorities to wrongfully arrest the Liverpool fan for an alleged assault.
However, the case against Culvin was eventually dropped when mobile phone footage cleared him of any wrongdoing. Here’s the footage…
Following that, the still aggrieved fan launched a legal case of his own against the GMP, culminating in the £4,000 payout.
He said:
I think the outcome vindicates myself – I did nothing wrong. My worry is that other supporters might not know they can pursue these matters further if it happens to them. I think more should, as that is the only way we will get behaviour changed and as supporters be treated properly. Daily Express immigration scare story: they cost ‘YOU’ £36,000 a year
The Daily Express has some immigration news. Always useful to hear what the Express thinks about the issue. But it doesn’t think. It merely states facts:

Incidentally, the Express has previously told us:
Migrant beggars are raking in up to £36,000 a year from gullible kind-hearted Brits
The story was based on the words of a single copper and some creative maths:
In Nottingham, Police Sergeant Huw Jones said: “We have heard of several people who have boasted of earning up to £700 a week.”
But not one he identified in the paper – let alone one who earned £50,000 before tax, as the Express put it.
The paper then warned / promised:
The problem is set to get worse when our borders are flung open to tens of thousands of Bulgarians and Romanians in just over a fortnight’s time.
So to today’s £36,000 story on kind-hearted Brits and those nefarious foreign spongers.

In 2013/14 the total cost of running the Immigration Detention Estate was £164.4m. This includes all costs, including running costs, rent, depreciation and other costs, for all Immigration Removal Centres, Short Term Holding Facilities and amounts paid for spaces in the main prisons estate.
And some how that works out at £36,000 for each and every one of us.

The refugee crisis has introduced us in the West to Hungarian newshound Petra László. We’ve yet to review all of Petra’s work, but we know her showreel ends with a broadcast from the Röszke refugee centre. In it we see Petra tripping up a man carrying a small child. He falls to the ground. She stands over him. Sacked by her employers, Petra has explained all in right wing daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet,
It is in every inch the non-apology apology, a dishonest tactic that constructs a sympathetic backstory and motive for the action.
Legend: marketing mastermind turns two-star Kray biopic into five-star PR
Is Legend, the big screen biopic about black-and-white British gangsters the Kray Twins, any good? Benjamin Lee answers that question in his review for The Guardian. He says:
It’s a disappointingly shallow take on a fascinating period of time and leaves us sorely uninformed, as if we’ve skim-read a pamphlet. The legend might live on but Legend certainly won’t.
He gave it just two stars from a possible five. The film’s marketing team saw it and slapped it on the official posters.
Says Lee:
…in a stroke of brazen genius, the marketing department tasked with selling the shoddy true crime tale decided to embrace the mediocrity of my review and found a devious solution. Note: focus between the ears.

FBI porn scam takes your photo and locks your mobile phone
The FBI is watching you users of porn app. Porn Droid. If you’re looking at smut on your Android phone, the FBI will lock it, display a message that you are on the official porn-watchers register, take your photo and fine you $500. Of course, this is not the actual FBI, rather Russian hackers who want to shake you onanists down for cash.
The IB Times:
According to security company ESET, which uncovered the campaign, the only way to recover access to your phone is through a factory reset, which means that all your photos, videos and contacts will be deleted and, unless they have been backed up, will be lost forever.

Refugees crisis: Fisking the Hungarian Nazis for signs of a Holocaust
Writing in the Independent, Robert Fisk talks abut Hungary, a land that “must look to its own history for migrant guidance”. The part of Hungary’s history Fisk wants the people to hack back to is a very narrow era:
Funny what a weather-vane the Second World War becomes in the hands of politicians and journalists. Europe faces the biggest refugee crisis since the 1939-1945 conflict, we are solemnly told. And there are the Hungarian police standing before the crowds of poor and desperate souls – most of them Muslims – outside Budapest’s main railway station, where even ticket-holders could not board the trains. Funny how the old memory buds don’t kick in at this point. For just 71 years ago, the Hungarian police were forcing tens of thousands of Jews on to trains out of Budapest, desperate to get them to Auschwitz on time. Adolf Eichmann was setting the rules.
