Obama Delivers Third Quarter Message To People Of Iran

ahmadinejad-votesIOWAHAWK, of Chicago – now twinned with Tehran! – picks up President Obama’s “Special Message to the People of Iran” over the Twitter Chatter:

To clarify, my only real concern is over sportsmanship. In democracies like ours elections can sometimes be difficult and messy. “Politics ain’t beanbag,” as we also say over here. As I learned on the basketball courts and ward precincts of Chicago, the birthplace of modern Democracy, a hard fought game sometimes involves a little trash talk, an occasional sharp elbow, or a mysteriously malfunctioning scoreboard. But this doesn’t mean we always have to resort to flagrant fouls, or angrily shooting our opponent in the parking lot, just because he showboated after a layup. Let’s all remember the lesson of Ron Artest — charging into the stands and savagely beating a heckler might feel good at first, but in the end it just might mean losing that big shoe contract with Nike.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Flees Iran As Eight Lay Dead

IRAN: the Revolution is being televised:
SPENGLER (via Barcepundit):

In Wonderland, Alice played croquet with hedgehogs and flamingos. In the Middle East, United States President Barack Obama is attempting the same thing, but with rats and cobras. Not only do they move at inconvenient times, but they bite the players. Iran’s presidential election on Friday underscores the Wonderland character of American policy in the region.

America’s proposed engagement of Iran has run up against the reality of the region, namely that Iran cannot “moderate” its support for its fractious Shi’ite allies from Beirut to Pakistan’s northwest frontier. It also shows how misguided Obama was to assume that progress on the Palestinian issue would help America solve more urgent strategic problems, such as Iran’s potential acquisition of nuclear weapons.

Yesterday’s death toll is eight, killed by pro-regime militia; more protests expected today.

MAHMOUD Admadinejad has left Iran.

Says Iran’s State-run Radio Payam:

Several thugs wanted to attack a military post and vandalise public property in the vicinity of Azadi Square.

“Unfortunately seven people were killed and several others wounded in the incident.”

Ahmadinejad Voted For Mousavi And Iran Twinned With Chicago

ahmadinejads-friendsMAHMOUD Ahmadinejad is President of Iran and all the Irans. The press goes bonkers. It’s a fix, right? Right? Right!

So fair is Ahmadinejad that even he voted For Mousavi.

But do not panic – Iran is to be twinned with Chicago. See, we’re not all that different.

Iran’s ex-Foreign Minister in an interview with The Nation’s Robert Dreyfuss:

A coup d’etat? They’ve already made one! They’ve created a dictatorship, in fact. Do you know that last night the security forces occupied the offices of many newspapers, to make sure that their reporting on the election was favorable? They changed many headlines.

They fixed the election.

The Guards are taking over everything, including many economic institutions. The ministry of the interior is increasing its control in all the provinces.

Mirhossein Mousavi And Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Both Get 60 Per Cent Of Vote

iran-voteIRAN is such a beacon of democracy that everyone wins.

Sadegh Kharazi, a senior supporter of former Prime Minister Mirhossein Mousavi, told Reuters that surveys made by reformers showed that Mousavi was getting about 58-60 percent of the votes.

Iran And North Korea Avert World Cup War

IRAN 0 – North Korea 0. The FT:

He’ll shoot, he’ll score

Kim Jonh Il

Football fans the world over love to tell anyone who will listen that their sport is “not just a game” – it means so much more than that.

You dirty northern bastards…

But the clash between North Korea and Iran in Pyongyang on Saturday could be one of those occasions when the cliché actually proves true. A World Cup qualifier between the two remaining members of George W. Bush’s infamous axis of evil – one fresh from a nuclear test, the other accused by some of wanting to conduct its own – sparks all sorts of international intrigue.

Peace Czar Barack Obama Talks While North Korea And Iran Carry On Regardless

BARACK Obama – anyone know what he’s going to do over North Korea and Iran?

The Czar Man

President Barack Obama is taking the practice of naming czars to new heights. As Foreign Policy points out, with the selection of “border czar” Alan Bersin, the Obama administration surpassed the Romanovs in its production of czars. It took those old Russkies 300 years to produce 18 czars. It took Obama less than 100 daysKatherine Mangu-Ward

North Korea Tells Iran To Forget The Bomb And Just Crack Heads

HEY, Iran, you don’t need the nuclear bomb to blow Israel to smithereens. You can win with will. North Korea knows how:

The political and ideological superiority of the revolutionary army is more powerful than nuclear weapons…It is true that the weapon is important in a war. The decisive factor of victory or defeat, however, is not the weapon but the great political and ideological superiority of the army“.

Make ideologies, not war!

And those weapons of mass destruction were an abstract. They live in the minds of the people. To find them you must crack skulls…

Axis Of Heel-vil: Iranians Hold Shoe Toss Contest, Ahmadinejad Struggles

TO Iran, where the Mohammad Rassoolollah Brigade is holding a shoe tossing contest.

They came from yards around to nick shoes from outside a mosque and throw them in support of shoe inustry campaigner Muntader al-Zaidi, who threw his shoes at President Bush during his trip to Baghdad two weeks ago.

The target was a George Bush poster. And some shoes proved a hit.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is thought to be supportive of the big toss but is truggling to free his veritable food from the Dolcis size 4 strappy heels worn for his portrayal of the Queen earlier in the week.

An Eye For An Eye For Iran’s Spurned Suitor

IN Iran theydo this to women:

[A] spurned suitor poured a bucket of sulfuric acid over [Ameneh Bahrami’s] head, leaving her blind and disfigured….

Courts usually order families of the accused to pay “blood money” for the crimes. But Bahrami insisted on the punishment. She had several meetings with the head of Iran’s judiciary, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, who tends to favor less strict interpretations of Islamic law.

“Shahroudi really pressed me to demand blood money instead of retribution. He explained that such a sentence would cause lots of bad publicity for Iran. But I refused,” she said.

So he agreed that she should be blinded and disfigured. What a guy!

Iranian Militants And Danes Try To Be As Funny As The Jews

IRANIANS are chanting “Death to Israel”. Borrringggggg. Can they get a new chant, one that rhymes?

Well, not all of them are chanting, just the Islamist students who are unveiling a new book.

The book “Holocaust,” published by members of Iran’s Islamist Basij militia, features dozens of cartoons and sarcastic commentary. Education Minister Alireza Ali-Ahmadi attended the official launch of the book in Tehran’s Palestine Square.

The Telegraph , which reports on the action, doesn’t say how much the book sells for, nor if it can be ordered online.

Ahmadinejad Accepts Israel’s Right To Exist

SAYS Mamoud Ahmadinejad:

If they [the Palestinians] want to keep the Zionists, they can stay … Whatever the people decide, we will respect it. I mean, it’s very much in correspondence with our proposal to allow Palestinian people to decide through free referendums.

Peter Tatchell concludes:

Since most Palestinians are willing to accept a two-state solution, the Iranian president is, in effect, agreeing to Israel’s right to exist and opening the door to a peace deal that Iran will endorse.

And then once there aer two states he can blow up one of them…
