TO prove that taking illegal drugs need be no barrier to a successful carrer in politics, charity Release has launched a deck of playing cards to illustrate it Nice People Take Drugs campaign.
The campaign features such exhibits as Boris Johnson, Sarah Palin, George Bush, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, David Cameron and Hazel Blears.
Says Sebastian Saville, chief executive of Release:
“We developed the deck of cards specifically to show the hypocrisy of politicians who talk about their sterling efforts in the fight against drugs when so many of them have taken drugs themselves,” Saville said. “The UK public are now well aware that politicians appear to live by their own special rules in many areas – we felt it was time to add drug use to the list.
“Many people, including these politicians, have used drugs and have come to no harm but this is mainly because they were not caught doing it…”
“Their careers did not suffer, yet they continue to support a regime that results in thousands of often less privileged people being condemned to marginalisation, incarceration and permanent disadvantage due to personal drug use.”
Had any of these people been arrested for possession of illegal drugs would they have risen to the top?

Widow Of Barack Obama’s Murder Victim Sues President
IOWAHAWKS look at the fallout to the President’s murdering of one of God’s creatures – Mr. T-Bone Fly – on the telly.
WASHINGTON — The widow of the housefly murdered by Barack Obama during a recent CNBC television interview announced this morning that she would be filing a wrongful death suit against the President in federal district court. The plaintiff brief — citing pain, suffering and loss of income — seeks a formal apology and compensatory damages, including an unspecified quantity of shit.
“Bob was a wonderful husband and provider,” said the widow, Mrs. Vivian Vvzzvzwwzzz, wiping tears from her compound eyes. “Even though he was always busy at the Rose Garden turd pile, he always flew home in time to tuck in our maggots”…
Breaking down, an emotionally distraught Vvzzvzwwzzz was comforted by PETA President Ingrid Newkirk and ACLU President Nadine Strossen. The two groups announced they will file an amicus brief in the case and file a separate class action suit against the insecticide, flyswatter and pest strip industries, seeking over 1 million metric tons of compensatory shit on behalf of 200 billion Fly-Americans.
“The President’s treatment of the Fly community has been extremely disappointing,” said Newkirk. “He almost seemed to relish his bloodthirsty attack on Mr. Vvzzvzwwzzz. It’s obvious he’s in the pocket of Big Manure.”

Obama Delivers Third Quarter Message To People Of Iran
IOWAHAWK, of Chicago – now twinned with Tehran! – picks up President Obama’s “Special Message to the People of Iran” over the Twitter Chatter:
To clarify, my only real concern is over sportsmanship. In democracies like ours elections can sometimes be difficult and messy. “Politics ain’t beanbag,” as we also say over here. As I learned on the basketball courts and ward precincts of Chicago, the birthplace of modern Democracy, a hard fought game sometimes involves a little trash talk, an occasional sharp elbow, or a mysteriously malfunctioning scoreboard. But this doesn’t mean we always have to resort to flagrant fouls, or angrily shooting our opponent in the parking lot, just because he showboated after a layup. Let’s all remember the lesson of Ron Artest — charging into the stands and savagely beating a heckler might feel good at first, but in the end it just might mean losing that big shoe contract with Nike.

Now, two of its employees stand accused of tossing garbage bags full of euthanized cats and dogs into a Dumpster behind a Piggly Wiggly in Hertford County, 130 miles northeast of Raleigh…
Adria J. Hinkle and Andrew B. Cook, both of whom work in PETA’s Norfolk office, are charged with 21 counts each of animal cruelty, a felony that can carry prison time, along with littering and obtaining property by false pretenses.

BNP Organzier Has NAZI Car Sticker
MORE news from Blackburn, and that Robin Evans, the BNP’s Blackburn organiser, drives about town with a “Nazi sticker” on his car.
The former councillor for Mill Hill in Blackburn, who now lives in Darwen, said he did not know who had stuck the letters on his metallic green Volkswagen Golf, but thought it was “quite funny”, adding: “It doesn’t bother me”
The Volkswagen is in keeping with the theme. But if he did not stick the stickers, who did?
Blackburn MP Jack Straw said the sticker “exposed the true colours of the BNP”.
