How Drama Queen Nikole Churchill Dragged Obama Into A Beauty Race

nikole-churchillMEET Nikole Churchill, Hampton University’s new Homecoming Queen.
Churchill is the first non-black Homecoming Queen in her southern Virginia university’s history, seeing off the challenge of nine other finalists. The vanquished nine are all black. The five judges who selected her for victory are all black.

But having won, she is heckled at a college American football game. The losers give something less than the thousand megawatt grins required. This is one big break with tradition.

amd_nikole_churchill_facebookOf course, it might depend on which picture you look at. The Times’ piece features this picture of Churchill surrounded by her ladies in waiting. On Churchill’s Facebook page, there is this other picture, of all winners and losers united in the customary grin of unbridled joy. But Miss Churchill senses something wrong.

Sure, she entered a beauty contest she thought she could win. But in winning she senses a race issue. Had she lost, it might have been the same. She decides to write to Barack Obama, a kindred spirit. Like him, she grew up in Hawaii.

I feel as though you could relate to my situation. It would be much easier to say that possibly some were not accepting of the news because I wasn’t the most qualified contestant; however, the true reason for the disapproval was because of the color of my skin. I am not African-American. Despite the unfortunate beliefs that some are saying I should not have won, I am desperately trying to focus on those who believe in me and support me and my goal to represent this beautiful, multicultural campus the very best way that I can.”

Gordon Brown Has 50 Days To Save The World From Global Warming Plague

gordon-brown15GORDON Brown is building up the heat on global warming by telling negotiators flying to the Copenhagen climate summit that they have “50 days to save the world from global warming”.

As luck has it, these 50 days will not be interrupted by General Election, and Brown can focus his energies on telling the Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world’s biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries, that there is “no plan B“.

Says Brown of the coming plagues:

“In Britain we face the prospect of more frequent droughts and a rising wave of floods The extraordinary summer heatwave of 2003 in Europe resulted in over 35,000 extra deaths.”

Barack Obama’s Deceptive And Dishonest Tax Joke

BARACK Obama, a man who seems more bothered by image than substance, says he will not raise taxes. And then he gets elected and, well, enjoy this and the video. Hey, Joe The Plumber was right:

President Obama mounted a frontal assault on the insurance industry on Saturday, accusing it of using “deceptive and dishonest ads” to derail his health care legislation and threatening to strip the industry of its longstanding exemption from federal antitrust laws. In unusually harsh terms, Mr. Obama cast insurance companies as obstacles to change interested only in preserving their own “profits and bonuses” and willing to “bend the truth or break it” to stop his drive to remake the nation’s health care system. The president used his weekly radio and Internet address to challenge industry assertions that legislation will drive up premiums.

Madeleine McCann: Alan Johnson, Satellite Images And Barack Obama

5110520MADDIE WATCH – Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann: Justine McGuinness sues, Alan Johnson, Gordon Brown, Barack Obama and a satellite image…

Press Gazette: “People in payout over Madeleine Fund libel”

Justine McGuinness is back in the news:

A public relations expert who helped in the search for Madeleine McCann accepted a donation to charity today over a claim that she overcharged the fund set up to find the missing child.

Another day and with it another libel case.

In 2007, The People story “alleged that she had charged the fund £20,000 in excess of her agreed fee and that, following a discussion with Gerry McCann in the summer of 2007, she was forced to part company with the fund.”

Melville-Brown said MGN Limited had accepted that the allegations were incorrect and apologised. So damages?

It agreed to make a donation to an undisclosed charity of Ms McGuinness’s choice.

PRs know how to handle their own PR.

Says her brief, Amber Melville-Brown:

The public is entitled to know, indeed demands to know, the truth, and the press fulfils a vital role in servicing our need for news. But Fleet Street must guard against rubbishing reputations in the process through the inaccurate and sensational reporting of emotive stories.”

Nice idea. But the public demands entertainment, and the papers demand readers. If you want the truth, you need to digest a lot of news and make up your own mind. Or read Anorak.

Which brings us to this story in the Sunday Express:

SATELLITE CLUE TO MADDIE KIDNAP

HOME Secretary Alan Johnson is prepared to ask US spy chiefs for satellite images which may show the face of Madeleine McCann’s kidnapper, following intervention by the Sunday Express.

Mainstream Media Exposes Its Bigotry With Rush Limbaugh Racism Fakes

cnnhoaxRush Limbaugh, the US radio host, is said to have made racist comments. They are fakes. Journalists on newspapers an in the mainstream media seize on them as fact. Now read on…

US radio host Rush Limbaugh will not be buying the St Louis Rams, American football team. The group buying the club have reacted to objections by players, civil rights leaders and team owners that he was too racist and divisive.

The Guardian’s golf expert Lawrence Donegan says: “NFL’s resistance to Rush Limbaugh puts English football to shame”

Rightwing lonely hearts in middle America, whose only friends in the world are their gun and their sense of exclusory patriotism, love him too because he speaks directly to their twisted souls.

Want to know what Limbaugh said? St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bryan Burwell knows:

“Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

Those are Limbaugh’s words. So are these:

“I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: Slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back. I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

Michelle Obama Tries For A Baby As Larry Craig’s Gay Obama Story Goes To Congress

obama-gayLARRY Sinclair says he had sex and did drugs with Barack Obama in 1999. He’s written about it on his book “Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair – Coke, Sex Lies & Murder”.

The title shows just how serious things are, with Craig putting his own name below Obama’s. Should the book sell well then look out for Larry Craig & Barack Obama – More, Coke, More Sex, More Lies & More Murder II.

Should that also be a hit, then Craig will surely set about creating a book that itself enters the Guinness Book of Records for the longest title and the most use of ampersands. So long will the title be that there will be another book needed for the actual copy.

It’s impressive stuff from Sinclair, who has self-published his first tome.

Now in “MICHELLE WINS”, the Enquirer tells us that Michelle Obama has succeeded in getting the book, er, ignored. Says Craig:

“I think it’s time to start exposing the truth in a less public way.”

Death Of A President: George Bush Was A Better Hitler Than Obama

WHO is the biggest Little Hitler: George Bush or Barack Obama? Let’s have a heated debate.

And which had the bigger death cult – Bush (murdered by Channel 4) or Barry, haunted by the Barack Obama Death Cult?

Wrote Mark Steyn:

On the other hand, if you’re running for president not as an unexceptional first-term senator with a thin resume but as the new Messiah, the new Kennedy, the new Gandhi, the new Martin Luther King, you can’t blame folks for leaping ahead to the next stage in the mythic narrative. Around the world, a second instant sub-genre has sprung up in which commentators speculate how long it will be before some deranged Christian-fundamentalist neo-Nazi gun-nut deprives America of its fleeting wisp of glory.

Maureen Dowd And The Making Of Barack Hitler Hussein Obama

NEW York Times columnist Maureen Dowd hears things other do not.
Republican congressman from the South, Joe Wilson, heckles Barack Hitler Obama with the cry “You lie”.

Maureen Dowd pricks up her ears:

“…what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: ‘You lie, boy!’ Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it.”

You lie?

Dowd might reprehend the true meaning of what she is saying, but Ace of Spades (yeah, Spades) hears you, Maureen and delivers his Top Ten American Political Quotations. Put on those Dowd Cansspeak into one end and hear exectly what you want to come out the other! –  and listen up:

10. JFK: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country, you greasy Dago bastard.”

8. Bill Clinton: “I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Sheeney McHebrewstein.”

6. Will Rogers: “I never met a man I didn’t like. On the other hand, I don’t know any chinks.”

2. Richard M. Nixon: “I. Am not. A Jew.”

1. America’s All-Time Longest-Serving Senator, Democrat Robert Byrd: “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side… Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” [quote unaltered]

Over in the Mail, Gavin Esler asks:

The ugly question that won’t go away… Can America EVER unite behind a black President?

“…you ****!”

The Anti-Obama Gadsden Flag Shows We’re All Hezbollah Now

wellIN Barack Obama’s Post-racial America, there is no race, there is only racism. Republican congressman from the South, Joe Wilson, heckles Obama during a speech on health reform to a joint session of Congress, belching, “You lie.”

So then former US President and author Jimmy Carter opines:

There is a feeling among many people in this country that an African-American is not allowed to be president, not allowed to be given the same respect.”

The media world goes into spasm. Obama fields the question on child-rape enthusiast David Letterman’s show Says Barry:

“It’s important to realize that I was actually black before the election.”

But other with vested interests speak up. Spike Lee is invited on Newsnight, the BBC politics show, to opine:

“I never drank that post-racial Kool-Aid. He [President Obama] was not Harry Houdini. He was not going to be ‘abracadabra, presto change-o’ overnight poof, racism disappears. I never thought that.”

Miranda Devine, writing in the Sydney Morning Herald, tunes into the din:

The New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd claimed she could hear the unspoken word ”boy” on Wilson’s lips as he heckled the President – which says more about her inner life than Wilson’s. “…what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: ‘You lie, boy!’ Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it.”

Anyone else hear boy?

Then there was the Georgetown University sociologist Michael Eric Dyson, who claimed racism was proved by the fact Obama could be applauded for calling the African-Americans rapper Kanye West ”a jackass … But when he calls an anonymous white guy stupid by implication, he has to nearly apologise to the nation. How dare a black man stand in judgment of white intelligence?”

How dare a white man comment on the Cameroon national team, the West Indies or the Dizzee Rascal’s latest hit? How very dare you!

Personally, I tend to agree with President Carter. While certainly not all the anger being publicly vented today can be tied to racism, I believe there is an underlying current of it smoldering [sic] beneath the public discourse and no one dares to mention the pink elephant in the room. Carter was never afraid to speak his mind, which probably cost him a second term as president – Dr Judith Rich, Huff Po.

The headline screams:

COMMENTARY: Carter is right: It smacks of racism

And writing in the Guardian, Daniel Nasaw just knows:

Hundreds of thousands of angry conservatives flocked to Washington on 12 September to oppose Obama’s effort to provide healthcare for all Americans, his pouring of public money into the US economy to save it from collapse, and just about ¬everything else the new president has done or promised to do. The frothing-mad protesters carried signs denouncing the nation’s first African-American president as a Nazi, a socialist, a lump of human waste, the Joker from Batman, and, perhaps most disturbingly, an African witchdoctor.

Maaaaaad. Frothing mouthed. Rabid.

But thousands also carried the flag that is fast becoming a symbol of backlash against the president: a bellicose yellow banner depicting a rattlesnake poised to strike and bearing the slogan, “Don’t tread on me.” Known as the Gadsden flag for its purported creator, Colonel Christopher Gadsden, it was a revolutionary war-era naval standard that was carried into battle during the civil war and flown during both world wars.

Yellow banned with picture on the front held aloft by racist nutters. Where have we seen that before..?

The fury at the protests was palpable – a resentful amalgam of cultural, political and racial animosity levelled at a president…

Among the crowd specific complaints were few, giving the event the feel of a protest against a man and against history rather than any policies. The level of vitriol aimed at the president seemed out of whack with the substance of the grievances. What is it about Obama’s healthcare proposal that makes steam boil out of people’s ears?…

Although the participants in the protest were almost all white, the ¬ reality is more complicated than classic American Jim Crow racism…

In addition, many Americans who would not describe themselves as racists and who claim black acquaintances and listen to black music nevertheless hold deep-seated racial antipathy they are unlikely to express or acknowledge, even to themselves. With its signs and slogans ostensibly aimed at the president’s policies, the anti-Obama movement has given these people what seems like a legitimate way to express their discomfort at seeing a black man from Chicago’s South Side in the White House…
Perhaps the Gadsden flag will similarly re-emerge as a symbol for all Americans, not just reactionary Obama-haters. Next year in South Africa, anyone?

But the last word is with the cartoonist, who delivers this joyous rebuttal…

It’s not that they stick up for freedom and rights – it’s just that they’re on the other side.

Kanye West On Suicide Watch As Obama Diss Pushes Him Closer To Edge

IN Kanye West’s “SUICIDE FEAR”, the NE tells readers that pop brat Kanye West will be visiting Switzerland, place of civic pride and suicide, to whisper in the ears of the morbid:

Barack Obama: Terrorist Storms Congress, Sparks Chaos And Fear

2009-09-10-pelosiworriedMICHAEL Shaw, of the Huffington Post, spots Barack Obama under attacks from American terrorists in Congress:

Rep. Joe Wilson shouts out “liar” as Obama makes assurances about illegal aliens and access to services. and the Barck Obnams Death Cult stosm congress:

Feel the terror:

It might be overstated to liken Wilson’s action to domestic terrorism, but the U.S. Congress isn’t the House of Parliament and his shocking breach of decorum created not only a disturbing moment, but even a fearful one. And that’s what terrorism is about, isn’t it — instilling chaos and fear at an opportune moment against a high profile target?

You could see Pelosi’s anxiety and worry until the moment clearly passed.

Well, if Pelosi could move her face you can. As for being like the Houses of Parliament, well, it’s not nearly so bitchy:

Independent’s Katy Guest Is Beyond Parody

beyond-parodKATY Guest is writing in the Independent about Katie Price and how awful she is. And writing about Barack Obama (& me), and how terrific he is. And writing about Big Brother and how dreadful it is. And somehow the whole thing just tells us all we need to know about the writer.

Guest is standing in for Janet Street-Porter and doing her best to make the great drawler looks half decent:

Katy Guest: A follow-up to ‘Big Brother’? Here’s an idea

Farewell, then, Big Brother – daring social experiment turned ruthlessly efficient famous-making machine turned public flogging of mental defectives for an ostensibly 21st-century audience….

Farewell, too, to thelondonpaper, a sort of print version of Big Brother that feeds off the new celebrity culture in the same way that certain types of beetle feed off animal faeces. It would be premature to announce (again) the death of the cult of fame; but would it be too optimistic to wonder whether readers have finally had enough of this peculiar brand of entertainment?

And how does Katy Guest follow news of how much she hates celebrity and a a late-night TV show? With this:

Kiss and text: The re-remodelling of Katie Price

We’ve all been there: you meet someone new; you take him back to your mansion in Surrey; you perform lewd sex acts upon his naked Brazilian person… and then it seems a good idea to send him a series of explicit text messages in a quirky and tender code that’s personal just to the two of you. And don’t you just hate it when it ends up in The Sun?

Last week, the paper published details of Price’s brief relationship with Andre Pinto, whom she met in a nightclub in Ibiza and then used, to his horror, “just for sex”. It also published the shocking text messages she sent him, edited to save the blushes of its readers. “I am going to *** ** **** **** ** ** until you beg me to stop,” she wrote. “Then *** ** **** **** **… *** ** *** ****….”

Katy Guest hates celebrity. Just hates it. Hates is enough to quote Katie Price and the Sun.

And lest you think Katy Guest is a fool, she tells you how smart she is:

Barack: a few holiday tips

Just like Barack Obama (in so many ways), I, too, set off on vacation recently with high hopes for my holiday reading

Sun. heat. OK! etc…

Barack Obama’s Bill Ayers Dedicated Book To Robert F. Kennedy’s Killer Sirhan Sirhan

The following snippet is taken from the book’s dedication page, and shows that the W dedicated the book to Robert F. Kennedy’s killer Sirhan Sirhan, among many other now-obscure ’60s-era radicals, criminals and revolutionaries:

Ted Kennedy Killed By Obama Death Cult

6962806TED Kennedy is dead and the Barack Obama Death Cult realises that Obama is the last Kennedy standing. Chris Matthews says so.

As Gateway Pundit notes:

“Chris Matthews also used Teddy Kennedy’s death to bash conservatives as an angry mob of potential assassins. NewsBusters has the transcript from this morning”:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: You know there’s going to be a lot of talk about the tragic blessings of the Kennedy family, and the curse. And it’s all nonsense. These people were courageous risk takers. Kathleen Kennedy, the girl, the oldest daughter, she was killed with her lover traveling on a plane ride she never should have taken through terrible weather in Europe. Joe Kennedy, Jr. took a mission that nobody should have taken in a plane loaded with dynamite to go blow up the V-1 rocket sites. Jack Kennedy was killed in an open car in Dallas in the midst of the most hated–it’s like the mood we’re in right now.
